Just a normal day.Does anyone have actual info about how many hours a day a guy like Javert would've worked in the 1830s France? Would he ever have had holidays? I'm under the impression that unless you were rich, you basically worked all the time you were awake and maybe had Christmas Day off and that was it β but what was it like, really? Also, if anyone has any alternative ideas about Javert's hobbies or knows what any actor who's played the role thinks the guy does in his free time, let me know!
I don't know if it's a good sign to be laughing at one's own art, but got to say, Javert's first nightmare cracks me up.

Thanks! I figure it would... Even though I don't think Javert is quite as obsessed with JVJ as the fandom sometimes makes it seem like, I think having him pop up like that would be disorienting for him. It's quite a coincidence, after all!

I can't even count how many things I love about this comic. The "goddamnit" panel of realization had me laughing so hard. And rock collecting sounds very plausible as a hobby Javert would have.

I almost eliminated the cat... My first plan had about six more scenes, one of them "feed the cat" β but after I cut that panel, I almost forgot about the cat. But when I was looking at the finished pages, Javert just looked so lonely, so I figured an animal friend might be a welcome addition after all!
