The Thénardiers join the petition !
After Marius/Cosette, the Thénardiers just might be my second favourite Les Mis pairing, when it comes to the musical and musical movie. They're despicable, sure – but I love it whenever they're portrayed with great chemistry, whenever it seems they love each other under the bickering and work as an inseparable team. I think they have some very nice moments in the movie.
Les Mis is not mine.

Yep! I think that was very clear in the movie... I like that – it shows that no one's an onesided villain in the story.

I agree, Fantine and the Thénardiers were among my favs, too! I've never felt more sorry for Fantine than during the film, a gorgeous performance...

Even though they're horrible people and always shown bickering or picking on each other, there's still something interesting and almost sweet [*cringes*] about the Thenardier's relationship. This one line from an old tv show always reminds me of the Thenardiers: "You guys are gonna be together forever! You're horrible, horrible people that no one else could ever love!" Together forever indeed.

and I have to agree -- my favorite Thenardiers are Helena & Sacha (film, obviously) and Jenny Galloway & Matt Lucas (25th anniversary), they just work so well together, it's awesome.
