It's Frisk, the Illhar'dro who cannot sing to save a cup of cockroaches. In fact, the cockroaches would prefer combustion to listening to Frisk. Too bad her clan is all about the musack.I wanted to try that cg technique where you start from a monochromatic sketch, add colours below, then paint over top everything. =ippus does it so well, I'm endlessly jealous. D: It's not an efficient style, but it's a lot of fun. That background went through about three dramatic changes before I finally settled on a blurry red colour, haha.
I've been feeling.. not good about drawing characters lately. :/ Sorry to people who are waiting on that. I really want to do some more illustrations with a more intense background AND character. It's important to stay on top of both, I think.

Frisk is woefully bad at mana arts. The gem in the staff is a tuning gem, it issues a middle C when she puts her mana through it. She can also bonk people on the head.. (its more common use).

LOL XD, I can't help but laugh at the image of her whacking someone over the head for not praising her "star singing voice" XD
If she can't sing and she can't do magic is there anything Frisk does excel at? Or is the poor dear just woefully inept at everything?

Her singing is horrible.. but that doesn't stop it from literally causing nausea and distracting the enemy like crazy. She would technically function as a support caster in a battle, if she had that kind of training (which she doesn't). When I said mana arts, I was thinking along the lines of mana blasts/shields and manipulating physical elements, all of which she can't do well at all. Her spellsong is one-dimensional. XD
