Description
Northrop, my fire faun, although he's extinguished his tail for now. Turtle painting is the favourite pastime of oracles. Northrop was instructed to find and paint hundreds of poor little turtles in order to enhance his mystique. Subsequently, all the turtles he painted bright red were caught by predators and cracked open for cold wet turtle soup.PS7 and Open Canvas 4.5+.

Although there are a few awkward things with the anatomy of the face and hand the composition is REALLy stunning. I love how you did the leaves especially. Such rich colors. It's a great piece to be proud of. : D

awesome XD, I love old stories of fauns X), alot of people only think of the Narnia faun DX, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks they can do more then hold up umbrellas XP
hahaha I have a character like that, only she actually is a spirit, but she was given a physical body so she could investigate the human world, and she refuses to believe in the laws of physics, so she runs into walls all the time Xb

The abundant textures in this piece are extremely pleasing to the eye, and I really like the color scheme you chose. It's rich and vibrant and aglow with life. You did a very good job with the organic perspective--something that is quite difficult for a lot or artists I know. The fade of the trees in the background create a real sense of depth, and just adds to the richness of the setting. The color scheme--did I mention the color scheme already?--the color scheme is brilliant. If you ask me, the forest seems as though it's already ablaze; it's ablaze with the deep red of life blood, a very refreshing alternative to the usual green.
