This pile of useless fancypants recently received a character update. Seth's a calligraphy teacher now. I wanted him to have an unpractical profession completely unrelated to his education, and this fit the bill. His accessories now include inkpot, inkstone, brushes, and protective tube for paper. I wanted to draw him as he would dress for class. The other two sketches with his hood up aren't finalized, they're just doodles of travelling clothes.

[CHARACTER]
Seth is the strange bachelor nobody recommends to their daughters. He is apparently pleased by two things: collecting students' calligraphy homework and discovering his front door is clean upon arrival. Too often was he forced to pry off a dozen dead eels forced into the shape of a lotus on his front door. Or maybe a large liver for variety. The worst were the hearts often with their aortic veins and life-juice still dribbling from the ends. The dampness of the gifts gave the disturbing impression they were recently procured. Shortly after the eels and other organs began decorating his front door, Seth became aware of a presence... watching him.

It became a thorny issue. His neighbors were convinced they lived next door to some sort of psychopath. Why Setheryll? He led an inoffensive life telling young dragons to "add more force" and "hide the tip in left-falling."

By the time Seth could answer the question "Why?", he would have already travelled across the world to the strange cities of Lun Xing, picked up some very irritating cargo and seen a number of fantastic things.
