I had a vague idea of how I wanted Tartu to look like - I wanted him to look formal (waistcoat+shirt), but at the same time, informal (high boots, bandages (yes, those are bandages, not gloves)). If that makes sense. XDD So I avoided certain elements with the coat (ex. I didn't make it double breasted because I thought it looks too formal).

Soooo, when it was time to decide the colours, it looked like this:

The coat originally had sleeves (which is why the shirt's sleeves match the coat), but while I coloured it, I realized that the coat looked good without sleeves. And then I was finished. But I still wasn't satisfied with it - I thought it looked too bland and dull. In the end, I coloured the coat collar black (as you can see in the lineart, it wasn't supposed to be that way). And a friend suggested to add patterns on his waistcoat or coat. I couldn't make it work with the former, so I made some patterns on his coat and sleeves.

So... yeah, that's the whole story, I think? XDD Probably forgot something. But Tartu was very easy to design, compared to all the others! This design was just my 2nd sketch. XD With some changes added later...

haha XD Yeah, I don't think you're the only one. I've wanted to point this out for a long time, but I never got around to do that...

TALLINN OHMYGOD I changed his outfit at least once a week for years! I ragequitted several times and swore up and down that I will never change his clothes anymore. But I still did.
