I support the 1st amendment.People should have the right to express whatever they believe in, so long as they:
1. Do not cause harm to others or infringe on the rights of others.
2. Do not use blatant lies to support what they believe.
3. Do not speak with the purpose of silencing someone else.
Would I defend the rights of a Nazi to protest? Absolutely. Do I support Nazis? No. If someone said "I hate creationists" then that is a valid (but childish and stupid, IMHO) statement, but it is not right to say, "I hate creationists- shoot them". See the difference? One is expressing belief, the other is expressing belief with the ability to harm others.
And by the way, hate speech is relevant to this because it's not hate to be racist, but it is to be racist and to include anything about harming a certain race. If someone hates Jews, they can, but they can't include anything about killing or hurting them.
Get the point? Other freedoms are included in the 1st amendment that are just as important, but I wanted to focus on this one.

I may not always agree with things that are said here in America, but I believe people have a right to say what they want, so long as they are aware of the rewards and/or consequences of the wording. Plus I don't feel if it impedes on others that the free speech is useful. You may have the right to say something, but not the reason.

But I understand the pain part.

Edit: Well slander, and other serious stuff that involves other people directly is different though. xD

Well I was referring to slander when I mentioned "blatant lies", which is a civil offense. Copyright is also protecting the right of the creator of said product to profit off their creation, so violating copyright would be speech (in a sense) that violates the creator's right. That said, some other aspects of what I said are purely moral in nature; you should not lie to defend your position, you should not attempt to silence the speech of others with your own (a simple example is yelling to literally drown out the other person).

saying "I believe that homosexuals are all sinners" is alright to say (though i disagree with whoever says that strongly), but it's not alright to say "I believe that homosexuals are all sinners and they all deserve to burn in Hell" is not alright to say.

Does advocating for inequality count as causing harm or infringing on the rights of others? Ya know, like if someone was like, really big into Apartheid or something else demonstrably horrible.

No. That's a debate on an entirely different issue. Advocating for the removal of other people's freedom of speech is the point of this one.

If I can toot my own horn a bit, you probably like it because not many people are willing to defend the rights of their adversary, and I do consider the neo-Nazi movement a foe. By denying the rights of those with whom we disagree, we ourselves lose such rights.

Well, you can lie, sure, but depending on circumstance that can get you in a variety of trouble, some legal and some not. It just depends. However, for the most part, if you lie and receive backlash, you can't hide behind the first amendment. My advice to you would be "deal with it".

On the basis, I agree but on the shape....
I mean, it's not so obvious, and quite difficult to say someone "You hate me? Don't worry dude! You can! And I will take care that you'll get this right forever and beyond!"

I too believe in this and I wouldn't have it any other way.
However, I've noticed that there are some people that should be silenced because the things that they're talking about are wrong or even dangerous. Hundreds of problems and issues have been created because someone said something that shouldn't have been said.
