Description
SYNOPSIS
Life is full of nasty little facts. One such fact is that both Romano and Veneziano are Italy. And that's one Italy too many. In the thin layers between dream and reality, outside time and space, one poor soul aboard the Orcus Express must choose the fates of the brothers. Well? What will you decide?
CREDITS are in the README file and at the end of the game!

This was made for SketchyTomatoes GameJam! We were to make a game about hope and naturally, I made a game that has a questionable connection to it! OH WELL! Also, I'm five days late, but that's ok, I asked permission! The demo contains only a fragment of the game, which is unfortunate, since the game has little plot (I think the game is more fun with the sidequests, which were removed for the demo).

Oh wow!Ā I really enjoyed playing this through.Ā All the characters were well-portrayed and the setting was quite original.Ā The music had really done wonders for the experience and I like how Norway and Romania was added into this.Ā The puzzles weren't too difficult (great for the simple-minded me), but still interesting and required me to think.Ā I'm excited to see how the full game turns out!Ā Ā

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The full game may take a while though, because there will be a lot of sidequests to complete.

I got both neutral endings and I'm guessing a version where you save both hasn't been implemented yet, due to the inability to get Occasio's mask. But brilliantly done! I loved the puzzles and how you portrayed all of the characters, especially since the Ancients aren't normally involved in HetaGames. I look forward to further developments!

Yep, you got it right, the full game has five ends (two neutrals, two bads and one good). Only two are on show here. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was nervous, since I'm working with a lot of characters I've never worked with before, in a setting where I can't assume their IC behaviour will work.

Okay, cool. Glad I managed to cover everything then! And I think they all worked well, especially if you consider the idea that most of them aren't supposed to be the actual characters and are instead representations of them.

trying to keep spoilers out of this comment pretty sure I fail though
This game - so well thought out and compelling, really lovely! Can tell lots of effort went into this - the puzzles were good, the fact that you can only get one ending for what door you choose really was great, gives you a sense of agency and weight to the decision of your choice. I really liked the music and I love the mapping! It suited so well~ Only thing that I'm sad about it not being smart enough to answer the riddle for one of the brothers - X' ) Maybe give an answer key in the README file? Though that's really dumbing it down for people who can't answer riddles or solve puzzles like meeee Great game!

I think for the full version, I will implement a full walkthrough in the README file (I was scratching my head earlier on what to do, so this works great!) I'm glad you've enjoyed the demo and hope you'll enjoy the full version once I eventually get it done! I don't know if you eventually cracked it, but the answer is circle - which is why there's a random circle in the room!

That sounds like a neat premise, and MAN it's been a while since I've played a HetaGame ...
Maybe as a reward for calling up colleges and asking for tours and stuff, I can sit down and play this.Ā
