Species: Unicorn
Appearance: Ship Cove coat, Martinique mane with Medium Purple and Portage streaks, and Regent Saint Blue eyes. He's more on the tall and buff side, but purely from his father's genes. Canon, has the softest fur in Equestria*
Special Talent: He has an extremely good memory, and tends to store spells, and anything magically related in his memory.
Occupation: He currently is a student at School of Friendship, under Starlight Glimmer, studying magic
Residence: He resides in Twilight's old library house in Canterlot, but tends to spend a lot of time in her castle as well

Personality: He's very cold- and it's not primarily for his own motive, but as he's grown up and learned about his past, he feels almost like a burden to a lot of people. He's very secluded, though very intelligent. He spends most of his time reading, and studying for school.

Background: Astral was born in Canterlot, and his mother and father, Twilight and Star Tracker, were engaged to bewed when Twilight had discovered that Star Tracker had been consistently feeding Twilight a love poison. She found it by accident by the time Astral Archive was 2 years old. As she found out, she quickly exiled Star Tracker from Canterlot. As Astral grew up and happened to learn about in his younger years, he found out about his upbringing, and fell into a state of depression, at a very young age. And with that, Twilight and Luna had Moonshade, and at the ages of 16-18, he discovered that Moonshade would be crowned prince, next in line to Twilight. He learned the reason being is due to Moonshade being "immortal", from both Twilight and Luna. This has caused him to be forever in a state of sadness, and he has not expressed any of these feelings to anyone.

Relationships:

- Twilight Sparkle: Astral and Twilight have a distant relationship, as he had grown to dislike his life. Twilight could never get him to talk about it, so of course she became frusterated with him. They have an OK relationship, overall, but they speak very little.
- Princess Luna: Astral dislikes Luna, for many reasons. For bringing Moonshade into the world, instead of him being crowned prince. For treating him differently then Moonshade, especially as soon as he was born.
- Moonshade: Astral does not tolerate Moonshade's being, he accepts it. He always finds him annoying, and clingy, but doesn't mind, since they both seem to only have each other, considering their parents are constantly busy.

Trivia:
- Astral Archive does have other friends, but they spend little time together apart from at school. He currently is trying to learn to spend time with people, especially because he wants Moonshade to make actual friends.
- He travels a lot through his magic, having mastered teleportation.
- He has a romantic interest, but refuses to share it with just about anyone.
