Nice job! And I smelled a hint of Norman Rockwell there.

I'm a little confused. Does he look in the mirror to help him draw himself?
Also, why is the reflection in the mirror so sad while the portrait is so vibrant?

The character of the painting is my Icon, I used the character as my portrait.
This drawing I want to show the different side of me, just like BLU0NI said.
Thank you very much!

Yeah, I want to see a real self-portrait even more now since you said lil alien dude is you.
I don't know what you meant by that. I guess I'm not really knowledgeable about art.

So then, are you sad because you miss your family?
-_-' I'm so sorry if I'm completely wrong -_-'

You right! I miss my parents but I can't go home, it 's the fact.

For my family, I just look like an alien....

When people want to do a self portrait of themselves, they would use the mirror and periodically look into the mirror to capture different details of themself. This is common when it comes to this kind of work.

And the reflection in this work can be viewed in different ways; it could be that he is hiding his true feelings from others through his paintings; or he could be showing what he wants to be, which is displayed in his painting. One more thing: It could be depicted that he is not actually sad, but rather concentrating on some of his details, making sure that he didn't miss anything. I know some people who are great artists who appear at times to be sad when actually they're just in a neutral mood.

Again, it all depends on how you see it; the examples I've given are how I see this. And for the drawing itself, I give it:

That's exactly the point!
His style, his choice of what he draws and the difference between the plasticity and the little imperfect details in reality and the painting is what makes what he does art.

But what we have here is actually a double self portrait. So, at the same time, we get to ask ourselves: Which version is the real portrait? Which one would the artist identify with?
