Description
I do not actually support Sparity, for the record. This is the Miracleverse, specifically for bad pairings/pairings I dislike for various reasons, and it's not only not supposed to be a representation of healthy relationships or things I support, but by the end of the Miracleverse story, however I get there (read here) , there's only one couple that will be staying together, and it's neither of the relationships in this universe with unhealthy age gaps/power dynamics. Pretty much very pairing in this universe is specifically a portrayal of some form of unhealthy relationship dynamic and all of them (save the one) are meant to be either bad things or at the very least non-optimal relationships. I just want to make this clear, because apparently it hasn't been clear enough.
People should not encourage young children who have crushes on them to reciprocate those crushes and that is called grooming, and if this situation is happening to you you need to seek help from someone you trust.

Welcome to the Miracleverse! AKA, the Disliked Ships AU, but I don't use this as a platform for hate. While the universe is slightly... twisted, they are all options that could have happened in the main TFIMverse. They're a chance to do things with the... standard ships that people have, and using them in new ways, as well as a platform for interesting characters. And let me say, it's time for the stuff to begin! Sort of! First of the many times we'll be doing STORIES in this universe, these are pictures in scenarios that either advance the story, or in this case, provide backstory! They might feature only canon characters, or only OCs, this one features Miracle , Bellicoso Bash , Spike, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle, with mentions of Pink Sparkle Apple/Galaxy Gazer . This is a short angry yelling piece between scared parents and Twilight.
THIS IS PART OF THE OFFICIAL MIRACLEVERSE MAIN PLOT!PREVIOUS - NEXT
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bellicoso Bash and Miracle were playing with dolls when it happened. Bellicoso was holding a very fluffy plush toy in her magic aura, and Miracle another, oddly shaped and not particularly well made doll.
"And then Princess Buttwings asked Princess Flufflepuff if she'd take her as her lawfully wedded wife!" Miracle said, holding her doll, which indeed had oddly placed wings that shimmered and crinkled with movement, grinning.
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Bellicoso pulled out another doll in her magic, a black and blue lizard with a nasty set of painted on teeth.
"Count Darkness!" Miracle gasped dramatically at the sight of the 'My Tiny Gecko' doll, Princess Buttwings rearing up with her. "What are you doing here?" She asked, suppressing a grin.
"I have come to take my rightful bride, Princess Fluffle.... Fluffle....puff...." Bellicoso began, but stumbled off at a sight she couldn't ignore. Miracle's spines, previously a dull mulberry, were suddenly quite literally glowing a brighter shade of purple, on and off like a signal light.
"Princess Fluffleflufflepuff?" Miracle asked, confused and nervous at her cousin's pausing. "Belli', are you ok?" She held her hoof up to the furry grey forehead of her best friend, but couldn't feel any temperature above the normal. "You don't seem sick... And why are the lights flickering?"
"No, Miracle..." Bellicoso couldn't help but keep gawking, completely dumbstruck. "The lights aren't flickering, you are!" She pointed at Miracle's spines, and both of them stopped for a second, unsure of what to do.
Then they screamed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spike and Rarity weren't doing much of anything when they heard their daughter let out a scream that sent both of them into a blind panic, Rarity dropping her sewing needle and barely missing her own hoof with her lack of care towards herself, only thinking of barreling straight into her daughter's room. Spike was laying down, but sprung up to his full height in half a second, following after his wife, catching up almost immediately, both of them running straight into the room, terrified of what they would find.
What they found was a pair of fillies shrieking their heads off with laughter, having stopped shrieking long enough to find what they had once found scary endlessly fascinating. It was a relief to see both fillies fine, but it wasn't entirely relieving when they saw their daughter. She seemed fascinated by it, but it wasn't pleasing to see their daughter's spines glowing in a signal light pattern. Bellicoso was touching the spines and giggling just like Miracle was.
"Miracle!?" Rarity scooped up her daughter suddenly, her whole body weighing so very little. She held her hoof up to her daughter's forehead, but nothing was out of the ordinary with her scaly and dry skin. "Miracle, darling, are you ok?" She asked, sitting down and holding Miracle's spines up with her hooves. "Does this hurt?" She asked, but Miracle shook her head no.
"What's going on?" Spike turned to Bellicoso, who was cowed by the large dragon. "I'm not mad, I'm just scared, ok?" He leaned down so she wouldn't be as frightened of his size. "You know Miracle is really fragile, so if you know anything..."
"We were playing with Princess Flufflepuff and Princess Buttwings and Miracle just started flashing like a lightbulb!" Bellicoso explained, pointing at their toys while the explanation came together. "I dunno what it is, but it's real pretty... It's not dangerous, is it?" She suddenly looked nervous again, pawing the ground.
"We don't know yet, but we hope not." Spike said. "Rarity?" He turned to his wife and daughter, daughter still lighting up at random intervals. "I have an idea of what it might be..."
"What?" Rarity asked, curious, but cautious at the change of expression Spike had to a grimace. "I don't like that look..." She whimpered, Miracle seemingly oblivious and playing with her spines again.
"Well, a long time ago, do you remember when I was helping you mine, it was just a bit after... after..." Spike faltered for a second, unable to say it. "After the Crystal Empire thing happened, and Princess Luna and Celestia were over?" He continued, getting over it just to get it out.
"The Dragon Lord calling?" Rarity gasped, looking at their daughter. "But she's not fully dragon, and.... dear, wouldn't you be glowing as well?" She asked, trying to bring logic into this.
"...That's true, but otherwise, we're not really sure what it is." Spike shrugged, confused as well. "I mean, there's not a lot of options we have, she's way too young to go through the molt..." He looked saddened to be reminded of the event in his own life.
"It doesn't hurt at all, daddy." Miracle interjected, trying to be reassuring. "Didn't you tell me not to worry until it hurts?"
"True, but we still want to figure this out..." Rarity smiled at her daughter, wincing at the bright light from their daughter's spines. "You understand that, right?"
"Yeah, but you don't wanna worry if you don't have to, you know." Miracle said sagely.
There was a sudden pop in the room, as a very excited lavender alicorn teleported into the room, mane windswept. "Spike, Rarity, are you home-oh I see you've already discovered it!" Twilight had what they wished they could have called an uncharacteristically manic look in her eyes, but to tell the truth, it was really just the norm, and she was quick to fly over to Miracle and her glowing spines. "So that's what glows if you can't get a Cutie Mark..." She mused, leaving Rarity absolutely confused.
"Granny Twilight!" Miracle grinned, nuzzling Twilight and causing Rarity to wince. Somehow, they could never get her to quit saying that, much to Rarity's discomfort at being reminded of being as old as her daughter's grandmother.
"Twilight, darling, you wouldn't happen to be suggesting you know what's going on here, would you?" Rarity asked, holding Miracle tighter, and subtly away from the alicorn.
"Oh of course I do, I just found out myself! You two were the first I decided to check up on, it's the map!" Twilight was blazing through the introduction, clearly too excited to think that she might be going too fast for her friend.
"The... map?" Spike asked, ushering Bellicoso Bash into another room, nervous about the conversation that was about to take place.
"The magic map, you know..." Twilight pointed at her cutie mark as if this explained everything. "In the castle? The map that sent us on-" She was about to continue before Rarity shushed her.
"We get it, darling, the magical map that, last I checked, hasn't worked in over two decades?" Rarity said, eyebrows raised. "Am I to understand that not only is it working now, but rather than calling any one of us, this map has decided in all of its infinite inanimate object wisdom, to send my daughter on a mission to Celestia knows where?" Rarity was growing more and more frustrated with each second as she spoke rapidly and succinctly.
"... Well, it seems I don't have to give you the rundown at all, do I?" Twilight blinked twice in shock, before shaking her head. "Well, I have to inform-" She began to turn around, before Spike stepped in front of her to stop her from leaving the room, Spike nodding to Rarity, who deposited a very confused Miracle into the same room with Bellicoso, so the adults could have their conversation alone. "-Spike?"
"We didn't agree to anything yet, Twilight." Spike said, trying as best he could to seem intimidating, which was not particularly hard given his stature and impressive teeth.
"... I don't see the problem here." Twilight looked confused as both of Miracle's parents flanked her on each side. "The map is working again, it's perfectly functional, and it wants your daughter to solve a friendship problem!" She grinned. "It's sending my little Pink Sparkle Apple too, she's not going to be alone-"
"The problem isn't if she'll be alone or not, and honestly, I'm not particularly enthused by the idea of your son being in charge of my child's safety, Twilight." Rarity sneered.
"What? What's wrong with 'my son'?" Twilight repeated the way Rarity phrased the words with an indignant tone.
"The boy is self centered and antisocial, you've spent many a night complaining of that yourself." Rarity rebutted, angrily, Spike staying out of this before, but stepping in finally now that it was nearing a screaming match.
"But even if he was the world's best babysitter, I wouldn't be ready to send her out with him." Spike said, interrupting Rarity. "Twilight, I know you're excited, but you're forgetting something important; that this is Miracle we're talking about here." He said, standing firm.
"I know she's fragile, but-" Twilight began, but was interrupted by Rarity.
"No, darling, I don't think you quite do." Rarity said, angry. "Miracle could die from a particularly nasty flu or cold, and need I remind you what your map has sent ponies to do? In the short time it was on, did we not almost get enslaved by a madmare running a cult, reformation notwithstanding, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash nearly died in Griffonstone, and you and Fluttershy got placed in the middle of a family war!" She stomped her hoof. "That map is a deathtrap in the making, and I don't want to lose my daughter to some quasi-mystical force I can't talk to and ask what in Celestia's name it thought made my daughter a good choice!" She finished, turning her nose up.
"But.. but.." Twilight whimpered, confused by the sudden hostility, as if she didn't understand anything they were saying. "The map.. we have to follow the orders of something made from the Tree of Harmony, you know!" She said.
"You have to, and maybe Rarity has to, Twilight, not our daughter, I didn't sign up for this, and neither did she." Spike snarled, defensive and afraid for his daughter.
"But the consequences of not following the map, they could be dire!" Twilight argued. "What if it's a situation on which all of Equestria balances its fate upon?" She added.
"And what if it's just some pony who's having a bad day with their best friend?" Rarity huffed out the words 'best friend' like they were sour on her tongue. "We'll have risked our daughter for some fillyhood fight!"
"Rarity, be reasonable, the map wouldn't turn on for the first time in a quarter of a century just to send ponies on a wild goose chase!" Twilight said, finally allowing herself to be angry. "And anyway, if you would just listen to me-"
"We're not sending her to-" Spike snapped, but was reinterrupted by Twilight.
"THE MAP IS ONLY SENDING THEM TO THE FALL GALA!" Twilight yelled out suddenly, using the Royal Canterlot Voice, hoping to get across her point, the room falling silent after her sudden shout.
"...The Grand Galloping Gala?" Rarity's eyes lit up as if she hadn't just been fighting horridly with her former best friend. "Twilight, why in Equestria didn't you open with that?" She tilted her head. "You had us believing this was some life or death situation!"
"Of course she could go to the Gala." Spike said, sighing in relief. "If she takes her medicine and is careful, she'll be perfectly safe there." He paused. "And stays away from strangers." He added. "And is careful." He would have continued, but Rarity nudged him, and he coughed awkwardly, black smoke coming out.
"Now, see, if you had just trusted me, this would have been easy." Twilight laughed nervously, but coughed as well, not wanting to stir up the cold argumentative atmosphere that had choked the room seconds before. "I was wondering if you could make a tuxedo for my son?... You'll have a lot on your hooves, actually, I'm sure..." She asked, then laughed again. "You'll never believe who else is with our kids."
"Oh, darling, I'd love to!" Rarity tittered, smoothing over the paralyzingly awkward atmosphere with her charm, and tilted her head. "Whatever do you mean? Who else is it sending?"
"All of our kids, it's fascinating, actually, you should come see; Miracle has a mark on the map even though she won't get one naturally!" Twilight's wings flared out, flapping happily. "Starlight and Stitchwork are over there now, just waiting for me to collect everypony-er, everycreature." She corrected herself.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Did you hear that, Belli?" Miracle held her earfins up to the door, spines still lighting up.
"I couldn't exactly help hearing, y'know?" Bellicoso rubbed her ears in slight pain from the loudness of the Royal Canterlot Voice. "So you're gonna go?"
"Well, I gotta, plus, I always wanted to go to the Gala!" Miracle squealed, stomping her hooves in excitement, stopping her eavesdropping to happily talk with her cousin. "I love pretty dresses and pretty ponies!"
"Yeah, you always liked that junk." Bellicoso stuck out her tongue in protest, but was still smiling. "You gotta keep your promise to your parents, though, ok?" She asked, nervous. "You know, stay safe and stuff." She petered off.
"Of course I will, Belli'!" Miracle laughed. "It's a stuffy fancy dance at the stuffy fancy palace with the Princesses, there's not much that could go wrong, right?" She asked, almost daring the universe to challenge her.
And the universe would respond in time.

I was looking at this one again, and while its understandable, they way Spike and Rarity acted around Twilight really broke my heart. Rarity subtly trying to keep miracle away from Twilight, Spike trying to look as intimidating as possible as if Twilight was some sort of threat (well I guess she is, but still)

Oh, the challenge from Miracle on whether life should throw something at them and also I love the fact that Twilight learned the Royal Canterlot Voice. It's very useful I suppose.

It's kind of vague, but if they didn't know what it was, they couldn't be lead to the castle, now could they?

Seriously Twi..A: Yes, OPEN with something like 'the map is sending Miracle to the gala!' B: Blind faith in a magic artifact, especially one you don't fully understand, is stupid, no matter what its origins, and C: Forcibly conscripting ANYONE to its whims without their agreement would be wrong, but when its a child, especially one with chronic health problems is even worse!

This Twilight... she is the kind of pony who wants to believe in fate now, or rather, abstracts?... I don't know how to describe it. More like... well, for one, she's not a good decision maker in her life now.

Only somewhat; they just can't be called best friends anymore. And not all of them, just select groupings.

Awww, Miracle calls Twilight her Granny! That's so cute and also awkward for Rarity because she's about Twilight's age. That's not normal for these sort of fights to break out among these friends, huh? If the events on the cover of the mane cast being sent off into snowy desolation is because of the Map, I can only imagine how Spike and Rarity would react to that...
