My headcanon design for Frisk.
Frisk is a precious nonbinary cinnamon roll, 7 years old and already the Ambassador for all Monsterkind. Also a giant goober.
Their skin tone is a more human version of their canon skin tone, though darker, and their eye color comes from the only official art with Frisk's eyes open. While I could have chosen to use the more brown look, I chose the highlights. While their eyes aren't that light in this drawing, the highlights are the same color as all the Golden Flowers in the same picture. So I took the actual color of Golden Flowers in the game for their eyes in my depiction. The color of their pants and shoes also come from that art~
Frisk in my HC, well, obviously, took the True Pacifist run, though after the Neutral run fighting Omega Flowey (obviously). They always took the path most kind, and chose to stay with Toriel after The Barrier fell. Every monster's spare condition was met, and they always chose the kindest words... or, signs. Frisk is selectively mute in my headcanon, and uses ASL most of the time, but is able to speak. They have a speech impediment and stutter severely, and are very very self conscious about it. They only felt open enough to speak to Toriel to ask if they could call her 'mom', and Toriel's slight hesitance in that regard, her "Did you just call me... "Mom"?" was a genuine question, as she had trouble understanding Frisk's "H-h-hey m-m....M-m-mom...." because they were very nervous about talking out loud and also calling Toriel 'mom', since... well, they just met. But luckily, monsters actually almost all know ASL. This really isn't much of a stretch, if only because not all monsters have mouths and they have to speak in sign language, like Grillby or Gaster. Since everyone in the Underground knows one another, most know ASL. The reason they know ASL in particular is because the trash that falls down in the Underground is, well, all in English and for people trying to learn ASL. Originally, they had translators, before language books started showing up in the Dump, and some monsters still use them, like Grillby, who has that Red Bird talk to the other patrons in the bar, who can't see him sign.
But enough about monsters and sign language. This is about this precious little babbu right here.
A little bit about my headcanon on Frisk's awareness of the timelines.... They don't have nearly as much of an idea as Sans (who remembers.... well, everything), though they know that there were.... many bad timelines previously, where they made a mistake... and trusted the wrong person/ghost. Ironically, the Frisks who accepted Chara into their soul... were more trusting than the Frisk who made it through the Pacifist run, trusting a little red eyed demon offering to guide them through the Underground. They know that there were lots of times, and they remember everything about the current run they had, even the times they died, remembering the save points, but only an idea of what went on in other timelines.
Frisk's knowledge of their time at Mount Ebott starts when they fall into the Golden Flowers, with feelings and remembrances of the past timelines hitting them before they wake up. The current timeline in my headcanon is that of a Neutral turned Pacifist (they woke up dreaming of Flowey telling them how to save, falling asleep outside The Barrier, exhausted from fighting Asgore and Omega Flowey, and returning to the save to complete the Pacifist run (though they had no idea that it was complete, they don't know they're in a game, of course, it was just the right thing to do.). The previous... was a Genocide. As for why they aren't in a Soulless Pacifist run?... Well, let's just say.... Chara quit. With a little help from someone beating them one too many times, giving them a new routine that they couldn't beat... Chara was only borrowing Frisk's Determination.... And they couldn't win. They didn't complete the run... and they left this realm for the next.
Frisk now lives in Ebott City with Toriel now that they're all on the surface, along with a special little houseguest.... Flowey. Who they snuck out with them because, well, they just couldn't bear to leave Asriel behind... even if he's a giant weenie now who lives in a flowerpot and occasionally the swear jar for using mean words and teaching Frisk all the swear words. Flowey lives in Frisk's room in a flowerbed made especially for him, right next to Frisk's bed. He's harmless now..... Frisk knows that if they just keep trying, they'll definitely get Flowey to be happy... Or even become Asriel again. Really, all Frisk wants to see is Flowey nice and well adjusted and smiling for reasons that have nothing to do with anyone's pain or suffering.
Frisk constantly has sleepovers with the skelebros and Alphyne, even Mettaton and Napstablook (who live together), and sometimes Asgore, if Toriel can swallow her spite for long enough to tolerate Asgore, but they enjoy everyone's company. Frisk loves spending time with Sans and Papyrus most, though, they really wish Sans was more comfortable around them. They know why he isn't, but they still wish it was the case. And they certainly enjoy teasing Sans about his totally not at all in any way obvious crush on Toriel. They totally ship their mom and Sans. Momshipping. Well, honestly, they ship a lot of people, really.
Frisk's a flirty little bugger, even at 7, they love to tease their friends about their crushes and flirt with about everyone they possibly can.
They still know every monster who was Underground, and they love to see the monsters whenever they come across one, they always remember everyone's names and they love to catch up with them. About the only monster they don't like is Jerry, but nobody likes Jerry, and Frisk doesn't hate him, as much as... well, he's Jerry. He's pretty damn unlikable.
Of course, Frisk's favorite monster is their best friend, Monster Kid, and, well.... don't tell anyone, but they might have a little crush on him. Maybe. A bit. Frisk is a flirtmaster, to be certain, but they still don't have the courage to say anything to MK. Frisk likes MK's sister Suzy too, though they suspect that she might have a crush on them, which is a bit weird, having a crush on her brother and all. Familial love triangles are hard. Well, more like familial crush triangles. Frisk knows just how to cheer Suzy up; they still bring over umbrellas when it's not raining, or even indoors, just so she knows that even pointless things are important too.
Being the Ambassador for all Monsterkind is usually not a big deal for them, oddly.... Mostly because Asgore does most of the work politically.... As much as Frisk is super important to the integration of Monsterkind back into human society, it really would be hard for a 7 year old to sit in during political talks. They might be smart, but they don't have the patience for not sleeping through filibusters or even just regular politics junk, not to mention that even after literally vanquishing a monstrous god and breaking open a magical barrier that held hundreds of monsters, many of whom were incredibly powerful and doing everything they could to break it open, all who couldn't do it without their help... Not many politicians would take Frisk seriously. An agender 7 year old who only speaks in sign language would be a very easy target, so they really don't get involved much anymore, after the original few talks. Frisk still tries to have input, but they can only do so much. (Why can't they be taken seriously? It's not like they're still a little baby or anything.... oh, right, 7 year old).
All in all, Frisk is a pure cinnamon roll. And nothing can change that.
