Awkward mid preening wingboners are awkward. For translation purposes, or at least, what she's intended to be saying and not whatever mangling Google Translate has done to the language: "Your feathers are so soft and delicate." I ship these two like Fed-ex. You have no idea how hard I ship this. It's just such an interesting pairing, and I kind of like it more than any of the other possible pairings suggested by the official Next Genception as the end goal. Starburst and Prism just doesn't work for me and seems kinda boring, Fletcher... I just don't particularly care about him, unfortunately, and I don't want to ship one of the main ponies of the Kilalaverse with someone I don't care about or know that well, and Del and Creme work much better, although StarxDel is my favorite of the 'canon' pairings, it's not my bag and it's not interesting enough to me. But on the other hand, these two have an interesting dynamic. Dove being obsessed with wings, and Starburst's own impressive wingspan combine at the start to make it fun from the beginning, especially because Dove hasn't got a whole good grasp on personal space, so it starts out with an interesting idea; a well meaning but personal space lacking wing lover and Starburst, a bit of a more rough around the edges girl. And we've seen that they work well together and Starburst enjoys her company, so it's not a situation where Dove is forcing herself on Starburst, who isn't interested. So I ship it.
Beyond that, the idea for this is that Dove and Star finally got close enough for Star to let Dove preen her feathers after a bit of a rough day, but not in a relationship yet. Both of them have a mutual crush, and, well, since Dove doesn't quite have the same standards for personal contact, her preening is a bit.... not forceful, but a bit touchy. So when she starts preening, she gets her hooves all over Starburst, on her flank to keep the wing steady, and the other to hold up the wing, and when she starts preening, Starburst finds her wings wanting to stand at attention and she's completely embarrassed, but Dove doesn't notice... or does she? I don't know, but either way, she does see the blushing, whether she noticed her wings stiffening as a sign of attraction isn't clear to me and I'd rather leave it open.

Starburst and Dove are both owned by and I hope this isn't a bother or anything, and if it is, I can take it down ^-^. I just love your characters and especially these two.
