This G1 story (Timeline A) takes place in alternate universe which breaks canon from the TV show and 1986 movie where Starscream survives and rules over Cybertron. Timeline B takes place in the G1 cartoon where Rubywing was created by Starscream during the show and is part of the Decepticon team. You can check out Timeline B Rubywing here!

Backstory:
Rubywing was created in a laboratory, using Starscream's CNA, by a pair of scientist who wanted to create a gift for the new ruler of Cybertron. Completely created in Starscream's image, she was intended to be nothing more but a decoration and a display of wealth and power, a living one at that. However, the King quickly became fond of the Sparkling, and accepted her as his own child, she was created with his CNA as a base after all. The little Sparkling went from shy and unsure to very outgoing and full of character, she became loud and proud, much like her father. Nowadays they're hardly away from each other, often with Rubywing seen sitting on Starscream's shoulder or lap.

Later on, as Starscream and Multitracker enters a relationship, she soon opens up and accepts Multitracker as an adoptive parental figure.

Rubywing got the ability to generate and discharge electricity from her body. As a Sparkling her shocks doesn’t cause much harm to larger Transformers, but can momentarily stun smaller ones.
