You voted and the winner was obvious! You all wanted Mewtwo back! And luckily for him I for once was in a really artsy mood! This I believe to be to this day my best fake Brawl character! I spent so many hours on it. And for once I can finally say that 100% of this was custom made! I don't really know what to say for this one. I mean what can you say? It's Mewtwo! Number 150! He was once one of my favorite characters to play as. I knew him as an "unstoppable terror!"He was one of the best things that I ever saw happen to the Smash World. Which is why it was a shame that they didn't have enough time to finish making him for the game. Along with the other 7. This is in essence his return! With that said this model was done with many different Mewtwo's combined! There's been many different designs through the year, and so I combined the most likely to be in Brawl. As you can see he's not the same Mewtwo we remember from Melee! No, he's much more than that one.
I know that Nintendo wouldn't change all of his moves. He deserves to keep a decent amount of them. But I'm sure that when they were making him for brawl they would change them up. I wish you were in this game Mewtwo..... Roy....
But Brawl is out. Enjoy it. It's truly a great game. One of the best, if not the.

I love Mewtwo and Lucario, but in all honesty, I think I'd only be truly happy if BOTH of them were in Smash D:

Alas, poor Mewtwo. This would've more than likely been his design in that game... and all we get is that craptacular trophy, where the rocks look better than he does. Really is a shame.
A VAST improvement over your older take... Perhaps my only qualms with this one are how the head seems a tad... bluer?... when compared to the rest of his body, and his left horn, which appears squarer than usual... unless that was intentional. (The detail on him, however, is just downright deliciously amazing. O_o )

Sheesh. Every time I look at your popularity I get jealous. +_+ anywho...
Pretty good, kid. XD You're making good progress in little time. Still doesn't capture the essence, however, mainly because you really need to work on your pre-rendering before you actually start shading and whatnot. Since you've got advanced ambitions, I'll give you some advanced critique.
Starting from the fundamentals, ignoring all the fancy shading: The pose is what bothers me the most. He's leaning a good bit forward, which makes it off balance, and out of character, since Mewtwo is usually standing much like sonic does, with his hip area forward more. Here's a rule of thumb: The head should be directly above the center of both feet. Think of a hula hoop: the hips may be wherever they want, but the head will always remain directly above the feet if the character is stationary.
Now let's get to the fancy stuff
The shading is in the right direction. However, you have a fundamental problem: there's no clear light source. If you want to create a convincing pseudo-3D render, you have to make sure there's a consistent light source. If it helps, think of individual rays of light that are interupted by parts of the body. If that ray of light is interupted, wherever it would have landed, had it not been interrupted, is now shaded. Depending on how far it is from the "interuppter" the ambient light can take over and the shading won't be as dark if it's a farther distance.
Gr... it's really hard to teach about shading in a comment, so I'll leave it up to you whether you want me to help you out with that. But light source is important.
Also, to make it seem less...well, fake, I suggest using multiple layers. Seems like you're brushing on a single layer, so where parts are seperate, things get a little blurry. This also distracts from the illusion of realism. My suggestion is that you look at a real picture of a 3D mewtwo and see where the contrasts are between parts and try to imitate those.

And thanks, been trying as hard as I can to improve. Finally starting to really get it. Even now, just a few weeks after making this I'm sure I could just shatter it with a better one. Balance eh? Well I'm known for some crazy kinda of Art. Remember, before I did this I drew up manga. So my arts pretty out there. Great to know that hips trick, Thanks!
Eh, yeah shading, my worst enemy! Next time I'm opening my art with just the Pen'd layers then gonna add a few layers for light and dark before I get into adding all the detail that I'm famous for. I do use a few layers, though I don't go crazy like you did for your Geno. This one probably had about 30 layers.
Challenges are what I live for man!
And the more I do the better I get, I wanna surpass you one day. And it seems that day is coming closer and closer with each passing minute.
Especially now that this next art has more than the 2 days I gave to Mewtwo.

well don't try to improve too fast. I was there at one point, and I ended up skipping learning fundamental concepts that I'm regretting skipping, because current art is forcing me to go backwards.
Kinda like, don't use a thunder stone on your pikachu to make it a raichu without letting it learn all of the pikachu attacks first. You'll regret it later on.

Mewtwo was one of my best in Melee. He truly had unique moves. Even his Shadow Ball was unique as opposed to Samus's charge shot, since it had a zig zag trajectory, making it tough to simply jump over.

i was really upset when Mewtwo wasn't in Brawl. i think Toon Link was a waist of a new character. all he does is take up a character space. besides, Mewtwo would have been an epic addition in Subspace Emissary.

From what I heard, Mewtwo was already in the game, all of his data and stuff is in it. Game models and everything, even a custom victory theme. Would have been awesome.
