Description This 18" x 24" painting was done with Winsor & Newton Drawing Inks and Parker Qwink for the background. I used a water-color brush and a calligraphic dip pen. The coolest thing for me was the Qwink, which when pooled and allowed to dry formed fantastic coppery edges. In fact, on some of the pools there was a tiny microscopic wire-like copper line left at the extreme outside edge which reflects metallically. I loved it so much, I did it all over the place.

I worked on it for 6 weeks in class during the 'spare time' between teaching kids.

Ahhh, there is boredom on the othe side, too ^^. I got inspired by that work and startet to paint a binary tree (with branches getting together again) on my locker. Now I have to finish it ^^. Curse you!
