Description
Here is my version of an exoskeleton or the EXS. In order to operate this machine, a ranking soldier must be selected and evauated before going into the preping process. The process involves inducing coma to the subject and then atrophying their entire body's muscle systems (excluding the heart and organs and brain etc.). After about 3-4 months the person is brought out of coma inside the EXS. This is now their body. Their muscular impulses transfer directly into the exoskeleton's cognative functions allowing them to operate almost as well as they could with their human bodies.Life in the EXS is though and mentally draining. Before a person is considered for transfer they must go through extensive psychological and physical tests to verify their candidacy. When the person is finally "installed" into the EXS and awakened, they are intravenously fed and watered through the EXS. Their vitals are also kept stable by the EXS.
In the battlefield, the EXS is a lethal and efficient killing machine. It's occupant does not need to sleep or rest because his/her brain is kept in a state of dynamic idle. This means that they do not suffer the effects of sleep deprivation because they do not use as much of their brain as normal people do and are able to sleep in certain areas as the EXS takes over the function and stay awake in others. Of course, periodic sleep is necessary for the frontal lobe (thinking), but it is very limited. They're lungs are also filled with a hypersaturated oxygen fluid, allowing them to take in as much oxygen as possible and allowing them to control the EXS more tirelessly. For food and water, then EXS can transform soil and plant material directly into carbohydrates, and allows the person inside not to starve to death. Water for the person is either recycled inside the suit (beginning as urine or sweat) or can be collected externally from the air or pools of water. However, since the person's body uses very little energy itself, the person needs very little food intake.
The EXS itself is powered by an alcohol heat engine. Refueling is required once or twice in a 24hour period (depending on activity level), but in extreme cases the EXS can start to collect heat off of the person's body, which it does passively although at much lower rate.
The weapons installed on this model are intended for heavy combat: i.e. anti-vehicle and anti-armor. The left arm is equipped with a plasma cannon. The back is equipped with an 8 barrel automatic gun. The other back slot is currently unused. The sensors on the EXS are fairly advanced and include infrared, visual, and electronic scanners. The sensors are all connected directly to the pilot's brain and collectively give the user a detailed image and information for the battlefield.
After the EXS pilot has served his/her required term of duty in the EXS, they are given a new cybernetic body. At this point, only the brain is left intact and is installed into the new body. EXS cyborgs closely resemble people, and can function as normal members of society.
Like I said earlier, I'm giving the credit for the inspiration to ~AlphonseCapone, an excellent artist by my standards. I don't think it's up to par with his version in overall detail, but it's all I care to do at the moment. I hope you guys enjoy it.

HIS VERSION?! WHERE?! WHERE CAN I SEE IT I MUST SEE IT!
Why don't they just put this guy in a cybernetic body in the first place?
"However, since the person's body uses very little energy itself, the person needs very little food intake." How exactly does it use very little energy? A person can't live past around a certain amount of days without starving to death.

The suit takes over the movement of the human body. With this, the body doesn't use it's own muscles for mobility.

Ah... I see you underestimate the power of the Neo Horde... just keep in mind I've beat Metal Gear 1 (the nes titles) through Solid (the PS1-2 titles) and I know how to deal with a rail gun or... three.

Your army doesn't scare me...I'd would only take me a few minutes to jump in my rail gun and bombard it.

The automatic gun seems to fire a freakin' big caliber, 10x52mm? Plasma cannon must be very useful. But damn, it must suck if the soldier in the EXS has a wife and kid. "Honey! I'm home! aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!". Excellent work once again. One question... whats the size of your paper?

About that. I forgot to include that anyone that would be piloting an EXS can not be married or have children. I was going to include that, just slipped my mind. the paper is 8x11 printer paper.

Thats one cool suit. Like his left arm
. And his head. Your exoskeleton certantly sound like a more permanent sulution
. Not sure if that is new or been discussed in some sort of Mech game or anime, but to me thats completally new, and therefore cool. That unit would be cool in a RTS, or even FPS
