I use my mouse for most of my pixeling and don't have MS Paint. I know that my program has no colour replacing tools, so would just filling it in with the paint bucket tool work?
The program I use it called Paintbrush, it works just fine for me. Except for colour replacing. ^^
I have the grid, and all the tools need for your tutorial are present.
