based on a true story. as in, it retells exactly what happened.i pretty much only play smp with one guy, and no matter how we start out a game -- with plans for some epic building, or on an adventure map we found, or to just play the game properly -- in the end it always boils down to having tnt fights and trying to drown each other in lava and shit like that. EVERY TIME. i swear we have minecraft A.D.D. to an excessive degree. we have some cool shit we've built, like an underwater base (funfact : we made it with tnt), but usually we just dick around like this. not that it's not fun, mind you, but it's just kind of ridiculous at this point.
i want to make an actual base out of a mushroom skyscraper though.

I almost lost my wool house(it came with the Instant structers mod don't judge)and I was putting in a fire place like normal,AMD it worked for a bit until I heard my fire alarms going off (mccrayfishes furniture mod).so it ended up with me dousing everything in water and lots of clean up time.fire is painful even if you are in creative

Reminds me of my journey from living in my own grave, to my graveyard to mountain of fortress. Then the ENTIRE mountain complex was filled with lava and TnT. Never again my friend. You've help me to strength my resolve to booby trap all of Minecraft creations. Thank you.

Me and *Stormy-Teh-Artiste built a brick house at the top of a cliff that has the most beautiful view. 
Also NOW I MUST BUILD A MUSROOM APARTMENT. (Dashes off into the square sunset)

i don't know how a creeper got inside either, but that sucks D: especially since brick is pretty rare. i think you need some cactus to defend your house from creepers bro, sounds like they're srsly cramping your style.

They're EVERYWHERE. ;-; I need to set up some piston traps that open up to mini lava lakes. If you set it up right, you can probably make a pretty neat lava moat that you can open and close at whim.

We've made it up to the ending point, minus trying to kill each other. We're far too plagued by the absolute lack of food.

oh god i know what you mean about the food. there are so many fucking sheep and not enough of the other animals.
i keep forgetting you can fish in this game though! seems like something i should invest time in learning to do/make a fishing rod.

I went with farming wheat. Just punch grass until you get some seeds, till some dirt with water nearby and whammo, (not so) instant bread.

i had a teeny wheat farm too, but we eventually started traveling around and kind of abandoned it. :C

Really? The SMP games my brothers and I play wind up more like LOTR with the last patch: We charge the dark fields around the NPC village we claimed and proceed to slaughter everything with sword and bow. And there's never teamwork. It's individual vs 30+ monster ass-kickery.

that is also fun, with the way the food meters make it really hard to die from taking damage. but still hate creepers and they seem to have a ridiculously high spawn rate compared to other mobs.
our base was not too far above ground from a zombie dungeon though and my friend dug straight down to find it AND took it on by himself. what a pro.

you can actually plant mushrooms on top of mushrooms. it is awesome
