Gosh that armor looks fantastic. Just out of curiosity, what's it made out of?

Thank you! It's a cardboard base with wonderflex over the top. I then made it again for a customer, and did it in cardboard again for the base, with paper mache and fibreglass/resin over the top. If I were to do it again, I think I'd use Sintra or similar

Gosh thanks so much for the response. I've honestly never crafted any armor for a cosplay before, and I know this is kind of an intense first costume...but I really want to give it my best. I really had no idea where to start but this is great!

Ahh, first costumes are always amazing! Good luck! I definitely recommend starting with nice sturdy cardboard in that case - at least to practise with. The biggest problem I found after my costume was that my scaling was slightly off - the upper portions I did okay with, but I made the leg plates a bit too big, and walking was very not elegant It'll help you get a really good feel for how everything should feel and fit together, and then if you like you can use that as a template to go on and make it in the final material

Hee. Now that I have played DA2 I can see how PERFECT your costume, and the setting was for Hawke/the Free Marches.

THANKS DUDE! Now that I'm making the costume again I can see a bunch of things that were wrong with mine/could have been done better; but I'm really pleased with how it photographed for that shoot

Desert road! At about 5/6 in the morning, and boy was it cold. The sunrise was just stunning, such an amazing area!
