Started out as me seeing if I could make a realistic looking Earth in 3Ds Max (you'd be amazed at how off the colours are in the maps of Earth NASA offers...) and turned into this.Related content

god I always forget not to be a dick and give compliments... this is actually a good scene; it has a nice composition and good modeling texturing. it just needs moar spit and polish!

wonderful advice! Though I always appreciate positive comments, I enjoy positive comments with critiques more. This was really a WIP cause I knew there was something missing, but I lost motivation and posted it anyways. I'm going to go mess with the levels now. Thanks again!

if you're going for realism, then the lighting in this scene should be way more intense. contrast in space when photographing planets is ridiculous, everything lit by the sun is frakkin LIT, and everything else is pitch black (as it currently is here). amplify your light levels, probably in PS using curves. cheers!

Hah I'm glad you like it but I'm not so sure I'm a fan of this one... Its not very interesting. I've joined cosmic attrium and forgotten galaxy and submitted the things I've done that I like there. Glad you like this one though!
