Menoitius is the sister planet to Eurynome, a lifeless but some-what hospitable planet for humans. It is in the last stage of its life before its core cools to geological deadness, which will eliminate its magnetosphere and strip its oceans. Because of its accomodating pressure levels and its still active oceans, Menoitius is a prime candidate for terraformation.

I really like the texture, but the shadow seems wrong.... JanL always used to say: imagine the lighting on a ball (or an orange, I don't remember what it was

Yeah I agree, I think its because its not feathered enough... My method in photoshop theoretically should make logical shadows, but this doesn't look right :/
