"I'm on the verge of losing everything I ever cared about. I can't let that happen."I rewatched 358/2 Days cutscenes and as always, Xion's story broke my heart. Her fate closes in on her and she's erased, the glow of the sunset glimmering down on her... I really like working with sunset colours, so it was fun to work on. There were lots of emotions while making this piece.

Xion is honestly my favorite character... Well, ever. She was such a sweetheart when she was around and when she died, it was to save the life of her best friend. She died in his arms and spent her last moments comforting him and thanking him for being her friend.Β
Now if you'll excuse me I have to go cry some more.Β

I know, seriously, Nomura needs to STOP ABUSING HIS CHARACTERS! Seriously, why are all the best characters BESIDES Sora treated like garbage in the series?! And then Xion, the one that does to most and gives up the most, doesn't even get to be remembered for those things in the series.Β

To be fair, Sora DID almost get Norted in DDD, and he failed his Mark of Mastery exam. So it's not like he's totally exempt lol. I think, while KH technically isn't a tragedy, Nomura likes to use tragic elements in his storytelling, especially in regards to the characters. As a fandom, all we can do is sit back and sob *pats shoulder*
