With familiar waves of cold ocean water and glimmers of light swirling around them, Roxas and Xion are reborn into the world that had once deemed them shadows of other people.

I'm so glad I'm finally done this piece! It was actually a hard one for me to draw, so I had to spend a long time working out the composition (their hands killed me and in the end I surrendered). I actually wanted to draw something cute and shippy, buuuut...well, I'm not so great at drawing outright romance lol. So as a RokuShi piece, this isn't really what I was initially going for. Still, as a piece about their hopeful Rebirth, I'm happy with how it turned out in the end, at least.

I really want to see a proper reunion between Roxas and Xion, if they both come back. I feel like there'd be some tears of happiness...both at being truly alive, and being able to meet each other again.

Considering how Roxas is Sora's Nobody (therefore, "sky") and Xion reflects Sora's memories of Kairi ("sea") I wanted to illustrate their connections through the environment, hence the horizon view.
