Looks like your questions prompted some cryptic and unusually high-def? memory, oooooh~ *wiggles fingers mysteriously*
(don’t mind me I’m just looking for lame excuses to throw in backstory)
also the discrepancy in art quality here is due to my stupid ass thinking I could actually work the more detailed style into a narrow timeframe– suffice to say that ain’t happenin lol

I honestly don't think Gaster is related to them at all, but for the fandom, I really love the father idea! I can see you rather see him as a brother, and that's okay too. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I actually don't believe that Gaster is canonically related to them at all either, but for the purposes of this particular story of mine I enjoy the dynamic of him as an older brother.
I try to stay away from clinging too staunchly to any interpretation of Gaster as "canon" since pretty much everything is pure speculation.
That said, I totally agree with you that everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I'm Happy we both choose UT Gaster as an older brother to sans and papyrus!! YAY!!..except mines is sort of an adoptive older brother, which is why his magic is yellow instead of a corresponding color to blue and orange!

I also can't recall seeing Gaster with a yellow magic signature other than in your pieces, and it's really distinctive. I love it.

Wow! I'm happy to hear that!! Most people thought it was weird that he had yellow magic because everyone seems to use purple or both orange and blue...at the time I was thinking more of a color break down rather then a combination... And since he was taller...I sort of used papyrus color breakdown and chose yellow, a lighter version of orange...this was before I though he was going to be an older brother...oh man....I ramble again...sorry...
