SPOILERS TO MOTHER 3 BELOW!!!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

And so, the final battle begins...

This a picture inspired by an event in my fanmade-continuation of the MOTHER series, "For You, MOTHER" (can also be referred to as 4UMOTHER). This is the major point in the game, where you meet the final antagonist of the story).
Bet you didn't see that coming, did you?

For those of you who've played the MOTHER/EarthBound games... you just might recognize the individual in the hulking orb... and the mechanical being standing beside it.
But how is this possible? The Needles, the sleeping dragon, it, they...
All will be explained... shortly.

Four heroes remain standing
for the final showdown.
But how many will survive
once the war has ended
against the god
dwelling in the space-time rift?

"Gigi", the young prince (unnamed as of yet), Irys and Ivi are all creations of myself, as is the 4UMOTHER concept.
Porky Minch, Pokey, the Absolutely Safe Capsule and the cut boss of MOTHER 3 are propoerty of SHIGESATO ITOI.

...The stairwell finally ended.
You now stand inside a massive chamber, far beneath the surface of the earth. Several flaming torches remain stapled to the rocky walls. There is the sound of wind rushing, somewhere at the end of this cavern...

The mechanical eye of Irys levitates before a giant, white, circular capsule, suspended in thick darkness. The area around the capsule is completely distorted; it's as if space itself was being warped just by touching it. A smudged window is all that can be seen as an opening on the orb-shaped capsule. There appears to be nothing inside but a swirling red smog...
Suddenly, from out of the darkness, a shaken Pokey leaps forward, startling you and your friends. However, he doesn't seem concerned with you. His shrouded eyes remain glued to Irys's floating mecha-eye.
Pokey crawls under the light of a torch, some kind of black liquid oozing from his mouth.

"P-Please," he seems to cry, his voice distorted. "G-Give me one more try. I pr-promise I won't fail again! Forgive me, p-please! Mercy, mercy, mercy!"

You begin to wonder whether Pokey had lost his sanity when the floating mecha-eye glows a soft rose... and morphs into the figure of a young boy. Two lifeless eyes peer down at the ailing Pokey. Lights near the base of the mecha-boy's abdomen and left eye flash off and on. An X-shaped scar on the mecha's forehead blazes in a deep crimson.
The mecha-boy begins to walk towards Pokey.

"P-Please!" Pokey pleads, his voice trembling. "P-P-Please!! Absolve me of m-my-!"

In an instant, the mecha-boy grips Pokey's torso in one hand and his neck in the other. Pokey vomits more black ink as the mecha-boy tightens his grip on Pokey's throat. Then, with tremendous strength, the mecha-boy dislodges Pokey's cranium from his fat body. Sparks fly and electricity crackles as the spinal cord snakes out of the body. The mecha-boy tosses Pokey's lifeless husk aside as Pokey's head utters incomprehensible words. A pool of black blood forms near the base of Pokey's husk.
The mecha-boy, now seemingly satisfied with his work, turns his emotionless attention towards you. You feel your blood turn cold as you look into his lifeless face.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Absolutely...

"Good," a raspy voice calls from nowhere.
The mecha-boy remains as still as a statue, the arm gripping Pokey's severed head and spine frozen in place.
Your eye twitches at you take a look back in the window of the floating capsule... and you're shocked to see an old man looking back down at you!
White whiskers grow from under the old man's wrinkled nose. His bleached hair covers dead, sunken eyes. His lips seem to quiver in excitement. His incredibly skinny frame appears so fragile that you wonder how he mustered the strength to reach the window. His skin is tinted a lime green, the palest green you have ever seen. He doesn't even seem to be breathing. His hands remain pressed against the glass.
Now that you think of it, this man looks remarkably like Pokey...

"For so many years have I waited for you," the old man struggles to whisper. "I would have looked for you myself, but I couldn't leave this pod."
"Who are you?" scowls your friend, the young prince. He seems a tad shaken.
The old man snorts. "Stupid kid! I am the one who will soon be ruling your universe! I almost did with my idiot master... but that moron was stopped by children! I won't! I won't fail the same way!"
The old man mutters more to himself, then snaps back to reality. "So there are four of you here as well. I guess that is quite a coincidence."
"Who are you?" asks Irys, one hand over her lost eye.
"Huh, huh... You... You were a fine servant. But you would have suffered the same fate, anyway. Just like the world will. There will be no one left. No one."
"Who are you?" barks Gigi. She remains steadfast.
The old man's body seems to shudder upon noticing Gigi. "...Is that you? Is that you? Can it really be you! Why, yes! It... It is! The sibling of Giygas! I have been seeking you for a long time."
Gigi's eyes widen in surprise.
"I tried to find you in so many times... so many times... but they were all failures. I let Giygas drop you off in the future when we were going to overthrow the planet... Giygas wanted to keep you safe from the effects of the Devil's Machine, hoping that by putting you in the future you would survive in another branch in time. But we didn't expect Giygas to fail... That is why you are alive today."
Your mind buzzes in confusion. Just what the heck is this man blabbering about?
"Just who are you, old man?" snaps the prince, his hands balling into fists.
"...How rude of me!" the old man gasps. "I forgot to introduce myself. I wouldn't want you to forget who will soon be ruling the universe. My name..."
The man weezes for a moment, then pulls himself together.
"I am Porky Minch. I am the one who founded the Enthusiast Army. I was the one who has plunged the world into chaos. I have succeeded this far in wiping out my enemies... so that history may not repeat itself as it has with that ultimate idiot two times in a row!"

The red fog in the capsule begins to pulse.

"How... How long have you been in there?" the prince points out.
"Ha... Ha! Ha! This? I have been waiting for someone to find me for over 200 years!
"Stupid Dr. Andonuts! I remember him. He was the one who sealed me in this capsule in the first place! It was perfect, he must've thought, to put away an immortal in an immortal pod! His plan almost worked... but it had one fatal flaw. When my enemies of a forgotten timeline pulled the last of the Seven Needles, a wish was made to turn everything back to normal. What no one knew was that I remained trapped in the Absolutely Safe Capsule, safe from the effects of time change. This capsule was built with such incredible materials, it was able to survive the changes in time without being canceled out like everyone and everything else outside! Unfortunately, I was somehow buried underground, to rule this paradoxal world... a dead space in time and space... destined to be forever lost beneath ground until someone were to find me.
"And then someone did!" continued Porky, his words now piercingly strong. "A bunch of miners found me! Can you believe that? They dug me up... They thought I was a god! A god living in a space-time rift! I laughed to myself, but I played along. Eventually, they came to believe in me as a god so much that I formed the Enthusiast Army, one of the more major of my cults. They built a robotic me I called Pokey, and from there any new members would be introduced to Pokey instead of me. I didn't trust anyone else other than the miners.
"Eventually, the miners died due to their exposure to the capsule, and my identity was finally left unknown. Only this chamber remained.
"Then I remembered about Giygas's sibling. I had gone to crazy living in here that I totally forgot about her. But after the Army was founded I remembered somehow... So, I had Pokey look for Giygas's sibling. However, as my luck would have it, someone else found her, and Pokey lost the trail of whomever it was that found her...
"About two years later, Giygas's sibling was found again, and I had the one responsible for taking her killed."

Porky's final words strike your heart.
Before you can say anything, Irys cries: "You were the one who killed dad! You killed our father!"

Porky continues, as if not noticing Irys had even spoken. "However, I couldn't recklessly try and kidnap Giygas's sibling... so I waited, very patiently, for two more years. Then, when the time was right, I had the baby kidnapped.
"Again, Pokey failed me as he kidnapped you-" Porky seems to direct his attention at the tearful Irys. "-so I made you of some use to be the host of my old friend."

The mecha-boy's lights begin to blink, reactivating him from a temporary sleep, and he tosses aside Pokey's head.

"My old friend was made around the same time as the Absolutely Safe Capsule... Matter of fact, they're made of the same material! So when time was changed by the wish of the Needles, he and I were not effected at all. He is harmless, though; his body doesn't store anywhere near as much of my time."

"...Your... time?" Irys stutters.

"Yes, little girl. But I'm tired of talking now. I will have you three erased from existence so that I can finally have Giygas's sibling for myself, and I can finally rule both the universe and this negative space.
"Do you think you can beat me? Do you really think you have a chance? Not even God can touch me! No one can!

"NO ONE!"
