Ripping ideas from nature is an age-old strategy for creating masterpieces You've done an absolutely amazing job on this. Inspiring, in fact; I'm gonna go work on painting nebulae...

Looks great. This nebula has always got my attention, from creeping me out when I was little to inspiring me as I got older looks very much like it!

hmm, problem is, that i dont really have a tutorial for this. I just started by adding color and more color and then that came out^^ Hard to explain.

I've got a step by step in my blog of it^^
to paint it cloud-like i have a really good custom brush which makes it easy to make it look cloudy

copying is learning! Seems to me you're a good student

well, to be honest this was just for fun. Painting nebula is easy and fast because people dont find mistakes in it as fast as in faces because it isnt something you see everyday. I should practise other things like lightning and humans more and stop messing around with nebulae^^

Astronomy has been a sort hobby of mine for a long time, so, I saw it wasn't the original image, but nevertheless it's colouring and structure and texture look very convincing.
I can relate to the urge to widen your field of interest,I now too are much more interested in the 'human' world for some time than ever before. I guess it has to do something with getting older...
take care
Paul
