actually, can I tell you a secret?
the proportions where wrong when I drew it, dewey's upper body and head where about 30 or 40 % bigger when I drew it, glad you couldn't tell 
And yep, pencil and a quick splash of digital color, because I thought it would make it more visually appealing, and because when I was drawing it I changed dewey's face and hair a few times because I thought he looked too much like alex (or a tomboy), and I didn't want any confusion, so I gave them their hair collors :3

proportions wrong? Why not cheat a bit and transform that later in Photoshop or SAI? Hurr, just press Ctrl T. And in SAI, Shift, while you're at it to almost warp it. Don't tell anyone I told you that . . . jk most people already do that
