I'm no expert on child discipline but Id say carried off too the stool in the corner of the room and made too do time out for 20 minutes or... placed over the knee and soundly spanked on the behind... then placed in time out on that hard stool!

That said, I image of the main 3 characters (Alex, Nick and Rebbie) she'd be the only one it'd happen to... her mom is a bit old fashioned and from the south so...

It'd probably just get a mature block. How about her sitting on the stool gently due too a tanned behind?
It would get a lot of comments. Does her dad do it?

No surprise! I'm more too prevent such stuff from happening. Most kids I know who act out don't understand the environment often as it's too complex too them or are frustrated from it or no opportunity in life.

I'm not saying i'm in favor of it, I'm not, but I think it makes sense given her mother's upbringing, and probability suggests it'd happen to at least one of the characters

Nor I, despite joking about it. And I agree with what you say.
As long as it doesn't leave a mark and is the rare exception rather then the norm I may overlook it though.
