So...I lied about cancelling it, nah, I was only anxious so I got a spare day to get this baby finished. Sorry for the spoilers, but Janet was really getting excited over the results and I did promise I would put up a photo.So...I'm hopefully going to attend SoS this year, I've been working 13 Fridays and 1 tuesday to get this done.
It all started after my friends Danbuster and Luke talked me into this back in august since NOBODY cosplayed as Tails last year
So, I got competition now, but it's for fun so what the hell?
I thank dear Fran for helping me make my first ever fursuit, these weeks together have been good fun.
Tails belongs to Sega and Sonic Team and all that nitpicky stuff

it has eyeholes, just took me a bit to get used to walking in it, wow, can't believe it's been that long already, good times, easily the highlight of my year

Thank you so much, I spent weeks making this those many months ago, my friend and I had a lot of fun getting this together and it's been a real experience for me making these things. Too bad it's the only one I made so I don't have any others planned randomley, otherwise they'd all be on CosplayIsland's site or something.
Can't believe it's been that long now, looking back, I miss the madness I had using this.

any tips for making a sonic costume? i got a comic-con to go to and im going as sonic.

hiya, I guess, the easiest is to plan out the body first, if you have like a spare jumpsuit or one piece, just draw over some paper like a template and then draw some designs for the head and pieces that are gonna be like the finishing touches, Sonic's gonna be a toughy cos of the spikes. If you have a plushie with you, you could get ideas from there
Use a sewing machine for sew work and always sew back and fourth to start with on every term, makes it stronger

2 things: 1 my "materials" are clothing and yarn and 2 i dont have a needle and thread let alone a sewing machine. my plan: use clothing, construction paper and yarn to create a costume. ima knit/croche shoe covers for the shoes, and use construction paper for spikes. ill use my awesome art skills to draw out designs based on Sonic's build.
