I think you made the right decision to give this fellow credit for inspiring your photo. Both photos are excellent.
I did a painting that is an obvious copy of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". However, I doubt if poor Vincent cares at this point.

Clever idea! I like how the shadows are the only thing that illuminates the contours of her body. I've noticed that you experiment quite a bit with interesting ways to make the viewer mentally fill in areas that are obscured by shadow. Nice work!
