Osamu Tezuka's "Wonder 3" is a masterpiece of science fiction that was also adapted into an anime. Works like "Big X" and "Ambassador Magma" were also from the same period, making the 1960s the peak of Tezuka-sensei's career. After this, "Phoenix" began.
I started collecting Tezuka manga around 1972, so it's incredible that the tankobon (published by Akita Shoten) of his works from a decade earlier were still readily available in local bookstores.
"Wonder 3" has an engaging story, and even as a grade-schooler, I was completely surprised by its ending. Even reading it now, it still makes me go, "Wow!" I highly recommend giving it a read!
