Description
This started off to be a quick--not too serious work for my "Eye Fetish" friends here. The 3some at present. Timbrewolfe, 6BandblackInk, and 369Naruto. I soon realized I was in for a job--and it's their fault I had to work on this versus the quick drawing I had planned. lol Kidding guys--u know I love ya's. If you like this drawing I credit these three for the inspiration to start this particular drawing in the first place. Thanks guysI'm happy with the outcome although I could've brought out the face more among other things. Does it look like I'm half way to insanity? lol No, I'm a normal (huh) down to earth nice guy. Humble too. Hope you like it.

lol--yesw, fetish eyes for all us eye fetishers haha. I might be wrong, but a powerful piece is Lonely Face Redo. Would like your take on him---you can hate it---that's ok

LOL, I don't really have an eye fetish, and for some reason I really don't get the impression that this illustrates an eye fetish.
I see a man/ woman from Africa with bands around the neck. I see a bird in the upper left hand corner and a horn, wich can be used for sounding an alert.
It looks like a tribal man... who is obsessed, so there that is mabey how I can see that you tried to accomplish the eye fetish concept. The background looks Aztec.LOL
Its a great peice, I like it very much

lol you're right. I have heard the tribal thing about some of my other pieces, and North West Native American among others. Thanks again.
I must stay on my toes with you around. I do put much effort in all my pieces, and I'm glad you enjoy them so much. I've wanted to comment on your work, and I'm sorry it's taking me so long to get to others deviations, I'm so so busy. When I get on da it takes me usually a couple hrs just to answer comments and thank you's etc.
I never take any of you guys for granted and don't believe in one way streets here. So my new friend, be patient with me, otay?

Many people say that about my art too, But I think yours is real close to trubal...and even industrial to a point (depends on the peice).
LOL, I'm good for that, my husband says the same thing
Oh thats quite alright, I totally understand...take your time and relax!

"real close to trubal". Hmmm well I've never heard my art was trubal lol Oh I always mispell words.
good for that? What does your husband say? My wife says some real funny things about my art--and usually doesn't see anything hahahaha.

LOL, its the new word for tribal...didn't you know that?
My husband is a better artist than I am, but he can't draw psychedelic or design...so get gets a little jelous when he sees a peice of mine (shakes his head) LOL
Your wife...ROTF!

oh that's funny. Yes, I undertstand. Some of the best artists tell me they couldn't do what I do. I guess it's a specialty just like in any other field.
Digital specialists, abstractors, pen and ink, portraits, animals, cubists, expressionists, the list is endless. I guess it's what you have the most passion for and fun doing. Sure I could perfect some other form of fine art, but I wouldn't enjoy it. I never set out to be an artist in the first place. Crazy story. But here I am lol
The bottom line? An artist to me is a person that just has to create in one form or another. Music, art, tile work I did for 20 years, etc. Picasso, as you know, was a house painter for awhile and developed this wild style in some of his paintings from doing that work.
I can honestly say the tile work is where my style came from among other things I've done in my life.
yes, my wife. You'd fall on the ground holding your stomach with some of the comments she makes about my work. I'll tell you one in the future .

there was a few sentences before this comment. What happened? lol
I was saying from the beginning.
Like that? hah? Don't get me wrong. My wife really likes some of them. She had me put a 30x40 beautifully framed one in our living room. She4 also knows that I'm unique. She's been on me to approach certain markets for the past year. She's right, but I had to set up other things firt, annnnnd, maybe a touch of procrastination and alittle fear too. Not of rejection, but orders, the best prints, shipping, etc, etc. Writing bio's and all this other stuff.
Anyway, here's one funny thing my wife said to me awhile ago while showing her a piece. She said................ I'm glad you're asll exited etc (fist reply

very true. You know, I have too. I can't hide forever. Probably the biggest monkey wrench along with everything else is the tile. I have 4 new jobs from people I just have to help. The day has to come soon that I get this out of my mindset. I would, however, love to do mosaic art and I certainly have all the experience I need for that. Yes, its time consumsing and presents other problems you don't get with paint, drawing etc. But so worth the effort---absolutely beautiful with glass, tile, marble.

you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol I'll be getting into them big time. My friend, actually a young woman I worked for recently is going to get into it. I will be teaching her the ways of cements--tools--grouts--design, etc. I must do my style on a table or something lol Imagine that!!
She has a table that is drop dead gorgeous. She hired a mosaic/glass artist to do it for her. I must get a picture of it from her. And you get these "up there nose" artists." The guy who did this was a real artist/artisan. What a job. I think it took him 6 months or more. Most glass pieces were small--about 1/4 inch---1/2. Details and coloring were over the top.
Yes, I have much experiance with tile and the mosaics. It won't be too difficult for me to feal comfortable with the tools--cement--grouting this type of work, etc.
Of course anything I do will be posted here. They will take much time and skill. So I don't think you would see too many of them
Took videos of 4 big ones I saw at Disney. What work, what skill, artistry, just blew me away. Were about 6x8 feet of more. Detail!!!!?? all randomly designed---not a sheeted patten if you know what I mean.

Yes, trouble is, I'm just juggling so much right now. Have 4 tile jobs to do. Studying this thing I was telling you about that I actually didn't tell you yet lol Have the art, the creation and the whole thing of getting out there, among other art growing activities, still singing in the church and will be playing the sax there to, and of course a family man with all that entails.
Something has to go, but what? It's so hard.

time to reavaluate the time I spend here I guess. There's so much locally with art I should be doing. I mean I've started a few things, but so much more to do. I'll be getting more and more involved in the off line art world. There's quite a bit, but that's the only way I'm going to really get a name in art. So many things going on around the country too.
With all the raves, etc, etc guess how many pieces of art I've sold here on da---no, not to members of da, they don't buy art But from a few ads--driving people here building deviant arts hits, not my actual business name and me. One lol One piece of art. Well, I never was surprised by that because artists out there that are making very good in the art world told me years ago the net is not the greatest place to sell art, so I'm not surprised
Although I will be getting my work on another site directed strickly as a landing page, gallery, and direct sales, I'm not getting all excited about that either. I refuse to color others art and stuff like that. I didn't go crazy with my art to become a colorer, or character artist for other artists. I'm not knocking it, and those on da that do it are making some decent money, but it's not for me. I wouldn't enjoy it.

You should, if you feel this way.
I'm not worried about selling any art to an extent, I just enjoy it here on DA.
I wouldn't enjoy that either... coloring someones art.

lol I hear you. Sooner or later I have to really decide. More and more is getting heaped on me right now. I still want to stop in a few times a week, but I don't want to feel like I'm taking but not giving back. I just couldn't stay here like that. I never was fond of that practice. Anyways

I know your all exited and all, but I don't see it. See what?"
Look at this cool character--isn't that wild? I say "and look at that! that is so cool"
"Sorry, I just don't see it. You know, Maybe you see all these things, but I don't see it, and I don't think anyone else does"
If you knew my wife, mush more layed back then me, and her personality, the above would be much funnier. Anyway............ lol
