I don't know if you've heard, but passed away yesterday. I was not fortunate enough to know the man, but I did know his wonderful work. This is the smallest gesture to show my adoration for the man. These were his words that accompanied the image:"They killed my character...! Well, actually, they killed Mark Waid's character.... he created Bart Allen/IMPULSE. I just designed his original look. I recieved co-creator credit... but it was still Mark's baby.
Regardless... he's dead now. He joins the ever-growing list of characters who are lining up to die in the DCU.... and it's happening at Marvel, too. I think the death-as-event comic has become the new gold-foil/acetate/holograhic cover of the 2000's.
Bye, Bart. I'm sure you'll be back some day..."

That's really awesome. I'm glad people rallied to mourn a fallen soldier. So often we get caught up in our own crap that we lose sight of what's really important. It's good to see people with their priorities straight.

Thanks, I hope so. I wish I go to know more of him and his work before he passed. I plan on looking up some more of his stuff. It's amazing how many people he touched. He will be missed.

This was the first thing that came to mind when I 1st heard his dead and thought it was some sick joke.I agree there is alot emotion on this pic. its hard to believe he is gone already.
