Thanks! I'm glad you dig it. And yes, I've seen the movie. For the most part it was enjoyable; Mr. Fantastic's dance scene could've been a bit smoother. And as previously stated, Jessica Alba should be my wife

I sorta wish they had showed galactus, but twice they hinted at his big ol horns
and the big swirling smoke and space rock vortex of doom was pretty cool...
=_= jessica alba should be everyone's wife.
just clone and clone and clone

Hmmm... I hope it's someone cool like Namor, although I don't know a threat that he could pose that would be bigger than some ginormous cloud trying to devour the planet. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

ok... you asked for it...
first of all, they included sandman. I assumed that this was because they were including venom, who kills sandman in the comics. this would have made for a great scene, no? but no! they just included sandman! I can't stand him! I think he's made of kitty litter.
next, they used...*shudder*...foreman as eddie brock. now, topher grace is a perfect size to play carnage but venom? NO! (although he couldn't pull of cletus kassidy's insanity anyway) i mean, eddie brock, an enormous monster of a man, even before the symbiote probably lost a hundred pounds in the movie, maybe more! and then there's the horror of venom not having a big nasty tongue. I will give them credit for giving him the whole devout religion thing that came in just recently in the comics. but venom is an enormous character, loved by millions, probably almost everyone's favorite spider-man villain and they just ruined him. and most of the people who saw it don't even know who venom is! they just call it evil spider-man.
also, people need to quit spelling spider-man without a hyphen. ><
my next target is the symbiote. the symbiote in the comics was absolutely perfect! the simple black and white design was absolutely beautiful and dramatic and it was different enough from the red and blue one. It even looked alien. The movie symbiote just looks like a sharpie fell into the laundry. and in the movie they said that the symbiote was attracted to aggression (<-- i think i spelled that wrong.) but in the comics it's sorta different, and a bit better, I think. In the comics it feeds on agression and similar emotions. the more aggressive you are, the stronger it makes you. and there's the horror of them destroying the symbiote in the end, that's just dumb.
now another good thing. the second or millisecond or whatever in the bell tower when a venom-reminescent face shoots off of peter, I almost died. that was the best scene I've ever witnessed, even better than the scene where V throws the knives in V for vendetta. it was just kickass.
and now I attack the actual script and such. No need for so many stories! I could have heard about the next green goblin another time! I think the multiple stories caused them to use similar endings to those stories. because all three endings were dispicably corny. "I forgive you???" AGHHH!! that's awful! and then herry coming to help peter at the end... that sorta made sense and I'm okay with that but they ruined it by making the other 2 endings corny. Brock trying to save the symbiote is nice... but not as great asbrock dying and the symbiote surviving!
mmk well that's all I can think of, but I think it's more than enough for now ;D

Wow, that was a mouthful. But I concur. I think what happened was that whether or not they make more S-M (there's a hyphen for you) movies, I don't think Sam Raimi will be directing them, so he wanted to do everything he wanted for a giant finale. I heard that he actually didn't want to put Venom in, but the fan outcry was so big that the studio forced it in (apparently, he IS a fan of Sandman, go figure!). I think each of the villains/plots could've easily been made into their own movie, but like I said, I don't think Sam's coming back.
I think my biggest beef with the movie is how it ended. First of all, why the hell were Captain Stacy and Gwen at Harry's funeral? It'd be different if the funeral was for Eddie Brock, whom she had a "date" with, but Harry? Did they ever even meet? And as for the very end, are we supposed to believe that Mary Jane is just gonna accept Peter so easily/willingly after all the crap he pulled? Granted, the hit heard 'round the world was an accident (not so daming, as some papers led us to believe), but he was a total dick most of the time. But even beyond that, I didn't like the fact that he just grabs her in the middle of the set and starts dancing with her. To me, it would've been more... well, better if he just came in, they acknowledged one another and he sat down, ordered a drink and listened to her voice as we fade to black and roll the credits.
Alas, no one asked our collective opinions, and the movie is thus. I have faith that some of the other comic book projects about to made into movies will have better results (i.e. "The Dark Knight" and "The Incredible Hulk"). I'm not sure about Iron Man yet, the production photos were pretty cool, but him not flying? I don't know about that.

thanks for the hyphen.
now that you say he liked sandman and didn't want venom, things make ALOT more sense. I didn't know this. that's why a: venom sucked and b: sandman had all the great special effects and screen time. thank god sam won't be back. I didn't even notice them at the funeral in particular but XD that really doesn't make any sense! I think MJ forgiving him like that IS pretty dumb, but i think she felt like it was somewhat her fault for tricking him in to harry's...trap....thingy. I'm REALLY glad that sam won't be around for the green goblin's return. hopefully they'll make him more goblin and less machine.
the next movies are some that I have high hopes for. DK was the only one i knew about, and I'm glad they're trying the hulk again. it's what kicked off the entire superhero movie era, and it sucked. you should suggest your ivy/grundy origin story.
XDDD
send me a link to those iron man photos, if you don't mind.

If this link doesn't work, you can just go to imdb.com and type in Iron Man and you can find them there. There's also a photo of him in his foundry forging the suit together and some shots of him "walking" around town somewhere on the net.
As for movies in the works, last I checked, The Dark Knight, Superman (Returns) 2, Wolverine, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Luke Cage, Wanted, Watchmen, and 30 Days of Night were all in some level of production. I've heard rumors (emphasis on rumors) that Hollywood is going to make an Avengers movie, a JLA movie, and a Batman/Superman movie... this is me not holding my breath

*dies*
that's alot.
I assumed that there would be something including multiple heroes eventually. lordy... that blonde guy from brokeback mountain is playing the joker in DK... T_T...HEATH LEDGER! that's his name. I hope he doesn't ruin it. I certainly didn't like jack nicholson's presentation. the portrayal of joker in the latest animated series is alot defferent, but I like him alot. If they went that way I'd be okay with it.
It's really nice talking to someone (intelligently) about things. =_= If I had a dime for every time I've argued about that hyphen...
*adds you*

Thanks. Have you seen the pics of the Joker? They scared the shit out of me! I think Christopher Nolan is a great director and I think he'll get a good performance out of Ledger. At this point, Summer '08 can't come fast enough!
