Possibly the best picture I've seen of a traditional chinese God.
I love the way you made it subtle but strong, the exspression isn't over done but even so it's still a complex picture.
The lighting around his face creates a very strong focal point.

Hey man so you are doing a graphic novel based on this character? Enlighten me...how long have you been working on it?

Well, he was going to be a supporting character... but I haven't thought about this story in about a year or so... It's kind of been put on the back burner indefinitely. The story, in essence, was semi-autobiographical and, in a dream, the "me" character interacts with this god in a not so pleasant way.

I signed a contract deal to produce a whole series based on the character and the end of the universe/beginning of the new one...check out my gallery for my version of Yanluo Wang. Wow! Congrats on that!! That's very cool. It's funny, since you brought it up, I went and dug out my notes and my other character sketches about this story. I think it might see the light of day after all, and I have you to thank! I think my biggest hold up (seeing how the entire story is already written) is whether or not its good of to pitch to a willing party. It needs to be edited like nobody's business, but I think it's pretty decent.
Btw, who did you sign the contract with if you don't mind me asking??

A start-up publisher signed with me called Terran Studios, a publishing company started here in SA!
This is my publisher's second go round, he has another production company called Kris Kidd Productions, named after himself of course...he does a lot of superhero stories and action/adventure stuff. Terran is his label for more adult oriented and heavy in-depth material.
I'm glad I got the fire going! Keep it up!
