I had a situation similar to this happen to me in my SS run, but a little bit different. I'd managed to catch Raikou outside of Olivine City and made him my secondary primary pokemon to compliment and back up my Typhlosion. It was outstandingly ironic because I had just grabbed my Mareep out of storage and was getting ready to train it when, low and behold, Raikou appears! I literally threw one Luxury Ball and caught it. Fate at its finest~
The fun part begins when I put Raikou as my first pokemon so it was walking behind me, and meandered down the Olivine Beach, naturally encountering Suicune for the first time, which happily skipped around us both before racing over the ocean. Then along comes Eusine, saying how he'll challenge me as a trainer to get Suicune's respect, completely ignoring the second legendary dog right next to him...

Eusine... He basically shows up after seeing Suicune and runs up to you all like "SUICUNEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!111"

This is amazing
When I fought Suicune, I was throwing ultra ball after ultra ball and then premier balls and pokeballs and great balls and... Pretty much whatever I had in my bag (why is it that ultra balls don't seem to work as well as they're supposed to?)
I finally caught it with a dusk ball.
My first thought?
'OMG. SUICUNE LIKES SPOTS. SUICUNE LIKES SPOTS!!1!'
...I filed the incident away to be made into a comic when I had more time/artistic talent (read: never lol).
Anyway. It was funny.
