In my SoulSilver I met up with Entei and, not even with a planned strategy, I lowered it's HP to like, 2 points, simply because I used Whirlpool, (and didn't even know that it would stop it from running 
Then I started to panick when it's HP was too low for comfort and it was still stuck in Whirlpool. I kept thinking, ''Leave the whirlpool! Leave the whirlpool! Leave the whirlpool! Leave the whirlpool!!!!''
