I always choose Cyndaquil as my starter when it comes to 2nd Gen xD I don't really care if it has bad HP.
On the side note,
It's a bit frustrating that you have to chase Suicune ALL the way to Kanto just to catch/fight it .w. I wasn't really ready for the Elite Four when I first played Soulsilver in my DS since my Pokemon were so underleveled, Lance's Dragonites were the ones that pissed me off that I ran out of Hyper Potions, good thing I got like 2 Revives left that time xD his Charizard was also frustrating since Lugia was my last Pokemon that survived and he kept on spamming Shadow Claw -w-
