oh hay it's schoolwork.i sat under a bridge in a park near my college campus and drew the creek. i was really pushing my pastel chalk skills. i liked using all the different colors. i hate drawing rocks. SO much. ugh. but i liked how it came out.

Very well done, I have absolutely zero aptitude for drawing landscapes/ nature scenes >< Almost reminds me of a Bob Ross picture. All those happy little trees.

I really love the ambient lighting. x3 And school assignments for art are fun.. regardless what people say. They always complain that they never get to do what they want in art.. but doing these assignments.. like painting and oil pastels help you improve you know? To experience other mediums, it's actually quite fun. x3
I just wish I didn't have a phobia of touching chalk. Dx

oh, i loathed chalk before i went to class. D: it takes a few tries to get the feel of it, my first piece i did was so light i could see the paper through the whole thing, and it was just so bad. just takes practice though T__T gotta learn to press hard and layer colors instead of blending them together with your finger Dx

Yeah, well, I don't mind pressing harder or blending if I was required to you know? I've just got this strange phobia.. I SHUDDER when I touch chalk. And I get this creepy crawly feeling on my skin.

I love how realistic you made it look. Like a real creek I would step down onto one of the rocks, I can actually picture this in real life XD Most drawings of creeks and scenery are so.. in-your-head looking, I dunno. old timey? not sure how to explain it XD
but this looks really real, like a place I've even been to. I think it's the creek water not being BLUE. wtf kind of creek has blue water? LOL

ROFL some kind of fake creek xD its things like that that really help you learn, once you learn stuff like HURR water isn't BLUE. plus this water was really shallow and dingy, there was tons of shit in it xD
