This here was my first attempt into 2020 with drawing again. (I forgot about this one, when I posted my first sketch journal..so here we are, posting in reverse.)

Anyway, I found a very cute character head set on Pinterest and wanted to recreate them with my own take. This little girl is supposed to be me. Full of emotion, highly expressive, contemplative and full of wonder about the world.

I couldn’t believe how hard it was for myself to get back into it, but full glad am I that I did.

Oh. I never mentioned. My preferred method of working is with the Procreate on the iPad. It’s very close to traditional and allows to me to experiment without wasting materials. Only downside is having to charge at least once during the day.. grr.
