This is Larry. He told me that he likes to wear Hawaiian shirts, even though he has never been to Hawaii. He lives in SE D.C., and rides the green line to and from work. All in all, Larry is just awesome.Ilford 400

Steph, I know I'll probably never meet Larry, but I get the feeling if I encountered him on the green line tomorrow, both of us shuttling off to various separate destinations, I would find him to be almost exactly like you've captured him here. It's not rare, but I find exceedingly difficult to truly capture one's essence in a photo... but I feel like this is one of those times, and one of those shots, where you did just that.

The Green Line series here is wonderful. I'm especially impressed with your estimation of fstop and focal length in the first one, but that's just because I'm new to the SLR world.
You give Larry so much personality, even without the description. I like the amount of the photo that he takes up: just less than half the frame is perfect, and it really makes him stand out against the background.
One day I will be as accomplished as zzb...
