Entry for 's contest

Finally got around to finish it, here is all the stuff from the ref sheet written down again if you can't read my handwritting (btw this is true 4k2k resolution, so you can zoom in a bit if that helps you ^^ )
Correct me pls. if there are spelling or grammar errors in there :3

Bio:

Born / Hatched in a tribe of around 20 Growlithes and Arcanines.
He left them when he became 14 because he wanted to be the leader of the tribe but they wouldn't let him.
Wandered through the world, started to enjoy exploring and wanted to join a explorers guild when he met / found Davis.
(Non canon/not confirmed: They became really good friends and joined the guild together.
Davis is the only Pokémon that Alex accepts as a leader because of their friendship.)

Character:

Positive:

-Reliable
-Defends others / His friends
-Selfless at times
-Cheerful
-Determined

Negative:

-Kinda stubborn
-Always wants to lead / be leader
-Ignores commands sometimes
-Impatient
-Risky

Sorry that this took me so long ;-;
The actual time that this took me to make is probably ~20 hours, but the reason that it took me so long (~3 weeks) to really finish it was the many tests that I had in school (5 in the last 2 weeks alone ;-; ) and I had not a lot of time left because of that and I played video games when I had time because I was really stressed out through all those tests... meh, should've drawn instead ;-;
But it's finally done and I'm really happy with the final version here, tried a lot of new things (not the idea that I had with Gmod that I mentioned, this here was (except for the layout of the ref sheet, I made that too, but per Linework Layer) completely drawn by hand by myself with one reference picture of a Growlithe, link in the credits) for example a new way of shading and highlighting and I really like it.
I think that this will be my main style for the next few artworks at least :3
Oh and I used the outlines of the Growlithe from my Doodle Dump #4, link also in the credits .

I guess 1080p would've been enough for this artwork but well, I kinda overdid it and now it's true 4k XD
