This didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted, but at the same time I think it looks cooler that what I had imagined. I really learned a lot by experimenting with all these different colors. On to next piece!Inspired by Messier 17
Painted with the programs Photoshop and Sai.
(I get asked this a lot, yes I painted it from scratch. Base texture and stars with Photoshop. Lots of detailing with Sai. No I did not put any shapes in here on purpose.)

You can't get the same dazzling effects by just taking some random space photos from NASA and trying to enhance the pictures themselves through color burn and hue/saturation.
