Description
Chandra, in a rare, quiet moment of not burninating everything in sight.I've always had a soft spot for firehairs. Both visually, and their mythical propensity for passion. I've always figured that the hair that grows inside my brain is red.

Did you feel that out-of-concentration when drawing red hairy beauties? In some cases i find myself subjective to what im drawing if it catch my attention or soft spot. Holy Red!

Sort of. I usually find that I'm not so much distracted when painting beauties, but I do end up spending a lot of extra time on the face. It's like I'm compelled, and I just don't want to be finished.

Ah, i got it now. But if you did go on drawing on faces for example, it would be worse than you hope. Sometimes adding more details would create mistakes or unexpected dirts

I built the chain mail in 3D, and had some basic spheres and cubes for lighting reference for much of the rest. So for the links, much of the structure was there, and what I did was touch things up and paint them to match the rest of the scene.

Frekles are a nice touch. I like all of the opposites: soft skin and metal armor, loose hair and that braided shoulder thingy, plate pauldrons and chainmail. Really cool.

I love the choice of colors, they mix very nicely. Especially the warm light, my fave part of this piece! It's so vivid and really brings the picture to life.
