My take on a Greek themed god of war. Or maybe this is undead Leonidas...For Dragon Magazine Online. Copyright Wizards of the Coast.

This, by far, is one of my favorite pieces to randomly come across on the deviantart site. No prompt, just random searches through the filtered content of the day. This deserves a much higher level of respect then that. Every single aspect of this piece, from the weather in the background to the ties on the sandals, is immaculately detailed. Even the hand hoisting the insert of the shield is drawn correctly, one of the hardest aspects for any artists being the appendances of hands/feet. The rope coils of the end of the spear are also noticeably drawn in such a way that doesn't assume picture perfect viewing, while the cap flows in the guided fashion of mother nature that man simply could not control.
I absolutely love this, thanks for providing this piece for the opportunity to be gazed upon by us masses. It's been an utter privilege

Bane. I instantly fell in love with this piece when WotC released it as a wallpaper back in 2009. It still remains of my all-time favorite D&D character-centric images. I don't recall seeing it in your Epilogue gallery, however.
