Description
The spider abstractions are so abound in this particular peice as to seriously call into question my capacity for an original thought.Usually, when I'm stuck creatively, I go to the least likely corners of nature for inspiration. Monsters? Hmm... I'll look at some flowers. Angels? I think I'll look up "deep sea monstrosities." Samurai? I'll Google platypus.
That way, I don't quite as often end up with a concept that's been done to death. Even if I am wantonly plagarizing Mother Natures acid-trip inventions.
That's today's lesson to aspiring creatives out there.
On this particular peice, even though they're not so far from typical vampire lore, spiders took over my brainmeats.
Turned out alright though, no?

Do you write your own flavor text, or do they have someone else do that? Because with your cynical wit, sharp as the thorns growing from her elbows Platypus style, I think they should pay you for that too.

That'd be fun! But they've got a whole team of writers for that sort of thing. Besides, if I wrote the flavor text, the game may take a decidedly absurd turn.
Also there would be way more sexy cards. Way more. Maybe a whole arc. "Champions of Kama Sutra," or the like.
This is seeming more and more like a great idea...

I'll say. Magic The Gathering: The Nymphology. The Nymphonomicon. Nymph green and blue and white cards? Black cards would be like BDSM maybe?

Is this another of the vampires the cut themselves open to ensure they murder something? She looks like it. If so, that's metal. And I love her.

This huntress turned out wonderfully, the light breaking through the canopy definitely gives away her intent. The dreadlocks bound in crimson ties seem different from other pieces, and different isn't bad. The tattoos across her body are simply, matching with the little clothing she wears. The curved dagger adds to her feel, as does the fact that spiders, owls and other animals line the background. Good work.

I know you're too busy to answer but I'll give it a shot anyway
When you paint this kind of..tatoos, do you add them after you have rendered the skin or right from the beggining? Because it looks awesome

It's sort of a little of both. Usually I'll do the base skin tones, then add the tattoo overtop, then do the specular highlighting on top of both at once.

Now that you say it, it makes sense. I'll give it a shot.
