Does anyone else remember those "Wintergreen with retsin" mint commercials? The ones about if you bite into one in the dark, it makes a spark? And then of course, the implication is that spark ignites a night of unrivaled, unfettered, unencumbered turbo-berserker-passion, with literal -but green- spark fountains flying every which way, like an 80's metal music video. All involved have the single greatest moment of their lives. So buy these mints, already!No? No one? No one remembers that? Well crap. I'm getting old.
I was going to talk about how this sort of reminds me of a nightmare vision of that commercial, except that instead of a flash of green lighting up a smile, you see this.
But I guess I should go with the more modern, more accessable, more universal comparison to tentacle porn. *Sigh.* Maybe throw in some "RIDE THE SHAI HALUD" kind of innuendo. Make some excuse for a nightmare goddess to have breasts, but no nipples.
Kinda lost my momentum though. Now that I've realized that I'm a dinosaur who lived at a time when computers had vacuum tubes and zero naked pictures. Though that second part didn't take long to fix. Even when you had to manually throw a Frankensteinian switch for each bit of data, one of the first things done was a glorious glowing green set of 2-bit gazongas.
Uh, so yeah! Here's a painting about an evil goddess fighting an evil god! Winner gets all the brownies! More arms means more winning!

Shit man, here I was already to tell you I not only remember the commercials but I've actually shown a girl how to make the sparks in the dark at a party recently (Always a great way to get a woman alone in an intimate setting at a party without coming across as a complete creeper.) but then you had to go ahead and mention how old we are not once but 4 times!?! C'mon brother lighten up on the age thing. I like to think about it more as levels of experience, like in a really complicated RPG that makes absolutely no sense most of the time but I'm still LVL 41 in most of my skills!!

Truth be told I did think that the used shade of green seemed very breath-mint...y. Half wondered if they were actually fighting or if this was the evil god version of foreplay...

Ah, age. I saw my first calculator in 10th grade; it was bolted to the science-lab lectern, and used Reverse Polish notation.
Great job on Fu Leng's sharp protruding scales, like rusting sawteeth; they hurt just to _look_ at.
And Kali is only _sometimes/sorta_ evil, so there! She does fight demons, protect against disease _when_ she isn't causing it herself, and so on, so I know who I'm rooting for.
I started to yell "Go, Kali!" before realizing that her cheerleaders must be pert' blood-smeared and I _really_ don't want to know what they're using for pompoms.

"Sparkle parties" used to be a favorite of ours at slumber parties or campouts (pass around a roll of Certs in the dark, and everyone bites them at once). It really does work, something about the wintergreen oil, although of course it's only a little flash and not RRRAAAAHHHH I AM A DRAGON.

I like the sense of conflict in this one, Kali Ma looks very heroic even for a evil goddess. The technique is awesome and the composition leads the eye so fluidly that it creates a strong sense of movement. Just gotta love this picture.
