Description
I had been asked to make this painting a print so I took the opportunity in going back and remaking it since the original file was never large enough to even make a post card.
I was happy to do so because this painting has always been special to me and It was always in the back of my mind to go back and do it right. The main inspiration, other than the obvious, was specific scripture Ephesians 6:11.

I love this image, Steve. Very inspiring work. I would love to see a series of this kind of genre of your art. There isn't enough of this kind of representation in the Christian community with the quality I see you have here. At least, I haven't seen a whole lot anyway. I am an artist also, but I don't even come close to your skill level to make a difference. I am still working on it though. God isn't finished with me yet. Thank you for sharing this concept. !!Wow, your gallery is amazing!! And this is some fantastic work. The blue air he's exhaling, the colors, the armor... it's stunning work. Also, I know Ephesians 6:11 so seeing it visualized like this is pretty cool.

Every time I see this piece I'd like to do a series of them. This is just my opinion but I think this area could use more art that would cater to youth.

Not only to youth but everyone who feels weak and needs Christ's strength like me. Any way, How do u justify your Art when somewhere it says we're not suppose to deepict an image of God.? I am confused in that area...I love to draw and paint .It's my talent. How do I do Christian Art? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Are you referring in Exodus where it says not to make any image in heaven above or on earth beneath or in the waters below?
If you keep reading it says "for the purpose of worshiping or bowing down to it." It would be like me creating artwork and bowing down and praising the art and not God....that's a weird example but I couldn't think of a better way of explaining it.
This is just my opinion but creating artwork that ministers to someone is a good thing. It's no different than me watching a movie that isn't even religious based but the message is clear and ministers to me to thank God for something.
I say if it's on your heart to do artwork that you feel would inspire people about God, go for it.

That makes sense.I quess I was thinking about the Exodus passage. Some people in the church I used to go to bowed down to the statues and touched the statues and thought the physical statue had power. I thought that was weird.
I agree with u that crating Art that ministers to people is a good thing.What does ministering mean? It could mean that the Art image brings comfort, beauty,delight,a sense of God's presence to the person looking at it. As Artists, I believe we share in God's creative and re-creative power. We can share this with others. It also brings me joy to create. I consider it a spiritual experience .It is in my heart to do artwork, I don't know if it will inspire people or not. It is rewarding if it does but that's not why I do it. It is pure joy! Doing things that are positive and creative is lifegiving. Anyway, I've been going on too long here. Happy New Year!

Amazingly detailed! It doesn't look like an easy burden to bear, to stand against 'evil'. It's kinda like he knows he has to fight on, but it will never really end.

I would have to agree with your statement though, even if you were 100 percent ready for battle and have had many victories...deep down inside everyone gets tired of fighting and long for peace.
