Whoa, that's insane! I can't imagine painting all those pebbles... and then trying to put a reflection on top of it! It came out beautifully! I love the character of the grackle, and the little leaf propped up at his side.

Thank you , yeah it took some time no doubt but I was hopping between 2-3 other paintings so it helped break up the "grind" of painting all those pebbles.

very, very beautiful! It looked like a photograph to me until I noticed the bird's eye. Sort of gave it away as a painting then, but I guess that's intentional.

And I know that this kind of bird has pale blue eyes by nature but these are just a bit too light. Make them a bit darker and they will look realistic and not stand out so much.
